And he's out for the season yet again.

I'm going to make a bold prediction:
Greg Oden is never going to play another game of basketball.
I'd be surprised if he ever rakes in another NBA contract.
He's singlehandedly keeping the microfracture knee surgery industry afloat.

We will certainly try to play again. Someone will offer him a low level contract again too.:(
If i'm a blazers fan i am SOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed. could have had kevin durant

Sad news.
he going to retire soon?
Why should he? He's getting paid to watch Blazers games and have corrective surgery done on his knees.
Does he have the option to try the German stuff or is that irrelevant?

Paul Allen wanted Oden, Kevin Pritchard wanted Durant, guess who's gone now?
passed up on jordan and now durant. They make jordan look good when it comes to drafting players.

Oden?

Completely forgot about that.
And I thought the Clippers made some shitty draft decisions!
The rules should be: Minimum wage ($7.25) an hour if your injured. Lol
It was sad the first couple of times, but this is now plain laughable.
This knee may never heal completely.

Can anyone still say this guy is not Sam Bowie reincarnated???
.....When was the last time this man played a game again? Seems like it has been forever since he played a game.
Man. That just sucks. People talk about how the Clippers are cursed. The Blazers are making a strong push as of late. :facepalm
I'm legitimately bummed out. I thought Oden had potential to be this generation's best big man. The Blazers looked to be on the edge of a Dynasty. I think the league would have been much better off if he'd gotten a shot at a long career.

You're pissed about that? Blazers passed on MICHAEL JORDAN to draft Sam Bowie!
He'll get a minimum deal somewhere like Miami and come back and be a monster.
shouldn't 'ANOTHER' be the word bolded? Peeps always pick the wrong word to emphasize.
in less douchy, overly-critical matters, I don't know if I feel worse for Portland fans or for Greg himself.
ehh, at least he's got a big schlong. I bet that's great for the confidence.

December 5th 2009 :(
Gotta feel for the dude. The dude can't stay healthy. Just cannot seem to stay healthy.
I feel the dude needs to get out of Portland, place must be cursed or something (srs) he should go to the Suns and see what they can do with him.

Next Oden announcement: Oden to retire.
A sad story, relly is could' have been as dominant as they come.
Feel bad for the guy.
If i'm a blazers fan i am SOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed. could have had kevin durant
Thats stupid to say because OKC would have taken Oden. Then what? You keep going down the f*king lottery list of what teams passed up to take Greg Oden? Hindsight 20/20.

Seattle Supersonics.

The guy was an over-rated prospect to begin with and shouldn't have gone #1.
Moving along from my long standing disdain for Greg Oden as a NBA prospect....
Gotta feel for the guy on a personal level. It's tough to have to deal with one surgery, let alone multiple. Hopefully he just quits while he's ahead before it gets to the point where he's sacrificing his future health just to get onto the court.
I respect Kevin Durant for paying tribute to Greg Oden last night, even though he fell short of his intended 52 points.
Thanks Kevin. You're a real class act.
Can anyone still say this guy is not Sam Bowie reincarnated???
Bowie at least got somewhat healthy and had a 10 year career with a couple solid seasons for the Nets. Oden's probably going to wind up playing 82 career games.
At least it happened now, making the choice to leave Oden behind easy for the Blazers. I think most Blazer fans expected Oden to be gone this summer as it was, so their fear had moved on to him finally coming back and dominating..... for another team. Now, Blazer fans can let Oden go and not fear regretting the decision to let him leave.
I fear sad for Oden though. I met him a few times and he seemed as cool in person as the media made him out to be. Hopefully he can open up a dental practice or something with all the money he has collected.
