Who do you think is better?
Durant's a much better defender, more efficient, and isn't as ball dominant.
You trying too hard man.
Carmelo plays on a shitty team and is seen as a 'cancer' or a 'chucker' because he takes far more shots on a lower percentage because the rest of his team is incapable of scoring. Durant plays on a team with 3 great playmakers and good/great bigs. That's really 90% of what it is. Durant is probable does have a bit better shot selection but it's not as big a difference as some people make it out to be.
So you've never seen KD shoot? The special part of Durant's game is being near 7-feet tall while possessing a guard's skillset while Anthony's strength is being an SF with the ability to post and overpower defenders. They aren't completely different but aren't all that similar either.

lol thats not it at all.
Its quite evident that Durant is the:
Better Scorer
Better Mid-range & 3pt Shooter
Better Finisher
Better Ball Handler
Better Off-Ball
Better Re-bounder
Better Facilitator
Better Defender
KD play's defense and his strength is shooting and shooting over people
Melo dosen't play defense and his strength is posting up smaller defenders at the 3 position, or being too quick for 4's to guard with his faceup game.
Do you think Lebron and rudy gay are the same player too? Or are you just saying this because of your lebron-fondling agenda?
pauk.

Lebron is a clone of prime T-Mac....except he's a worse outside shooter
Durant is a lot better than Melo
Durant is the greater player.
1) Better scorer period. Melo had stretches where he just tears the league up with points. BUT, we're talking about a month or two at best. Durant led the league in scoring 3 times. Durant has been the better efficient scorer too. Taking less shots to score more points. Durant has a better three point shot while Melo has a better post game. Bottom line, Durant has been the better scorer the past three seasons.
2) Better defender. Self explanatory.
Melo is a very very good player in his own rights. But Durant's just great.
To me, Durant has been better than Melo about 4 seasons ago. And i started out as a Melo fan but his lack of work ethnic and improvement over his career just lost my love for his game. Melo does not work hard like Kobe or Lebron, and therefore, can not be compared to them once their careers are all over. It might not even be close.
Loving this thread.:lol
Durant is much closer to Lebron than Melo is to Durant.
Melo has a better post game and thats it.
Serious? KD is considered to be better than LeBron to some. Don't get bitter now.
And OP seriously wonders why Lebron gets flak? :oldlol:
When Durant embarrasses Lebron in the Finals I cant wait to see your reaction.:oldlol:
the difference is that one of them is better than the other
melo cant touch KD
Their stats look very similar indeed.

Melo have always played with great scorers as Iverson, JR Smith, STAT, Nene etc
Durant doesnt kill ball movement the way Melo does
Melo is a GREAT scorer, but is also a black hole. He isnt talented to win on his own, and isnt a good enough team mate to win with another star
You trying too hard man.
Trying what? Trying hard to see who thinks is better between these two very similar SFs?

Westbrook and Harden are better than anything Melo had in Denver. Iverson was past prime, and Billups was getting old as well.

I guess that's it. Melo like to overdribble and just being a black hole in general. Durant plays within the offense.

That awkward moment I can't help but agree with Bladers. It'll never happen again.
Melo is a cancer, yet almost everyone does better with him.

Durant...
1. Has a little more range
2. Has a couple inches on Melo and is therefore a little harder to guard
3. Is smarter
4. Is a better defender
Those 4 are a pretty big deal and that's what separates the second best player in the league from somebody who barely is top 10 (and at times is outside of the top 10).

Since when does Durant play great defense? Compared to who? Steve Nash? Both Carmelo/Durant have similar defense...
Its not like you can significantly see any difference defensively between those two, not like Durant is 1st team all-defensive or 2nd or 3rd there anyways or something....
Carmelo & Durant are very similar players in every way...
Rudy Gay & Lebron? How is that a good example? Lebron averages almost double the amount of his points, much more rebounds and triple the amount of his assists and is a 1000000000000000000 times better defender....
Carmelo & Durant are both volume shooting pure scorers with extremly similar numbers & gamestyles.... there is a major difference, Gay/Lebron are not even on the same dimensions..
I feel like Carmelo is extremly underrated or it could be that Durant is overrated...

Try harder. Your agenda is obvious.

They don't have similar game styles at all.
You are right about Carmelo is underrated and Durant is overrated tho.
I see these guys as CLONES... where one just so happen to be taller (and have a MUCH better team)
Who do you think is better?
Durant will be the best player in the NBA in 2 or 3 years whereas Anthony won't ever sniff the top spot.
durant actually passes the ball. i think melo either lacks this ability or just forgets to.
People are selling Carmelo short. He can create his own offense ("something out of nothing") to a greater extent than Durant can, who relies more on the system to get his looks (fast breaks, iso's, etc).
That said, Durant is a slightly better overall player.
Durant is the second best player in the league, arguably the best player in the league while Melo is not even a top 10 player in the league.
They have nothing in common other than playing the same position.
Melo is the most overrated player in the league and it truly is not close.
durant actually passes the ball. i think melo either lacks this ability or just forgets to.
Yet Carmelo averages more assists and fewer turnovers per game.
Ok.

Agree with everything apart from rebounding. Carmelo is exponentially better at rebounding. One of the best at his position in the league. If not the best.

This.
Classic example of a rep following a player to his/her grave. Durant defense is not that much better than Carmelo Anthony. Please kill that noise. Look you want to pick Durant because he replies to you on twitter, facebook or makes a youtube video saying thanks? You want to pick Durant because he dresses like you? Or Durant is so damn nice you'd let him bone your sister on your bed without being upset? Fine. But dont go making up stuff and pretending he does something better than Carmelo.
Durant defense can be just as ridiculous as Carmelo's. But you dont like Carmelo so you give Durant the lead in defense. Get out of here. Stop it.
pauk getting nervous
durant actually passes the ball. i think melo either lacks this ability or just forgets to.
I'm sorry when did Durant become a better playmaker than Carmelo Anthony? Stop it. Carmelo rep as a ball hog, chucking black hole has people giving other players extra credit for work they didnt f*cking complete. And no this doesnt say Durant hasnt made plays with the ball that didnt involve scoring. Its to say stop acting like Durant passing is much better than Melo. Its not.
Just because Durant wears a goofy book bag and dresses like a tool. Doesnt mean he somehow has become this better passing, playmaker than Carmelo.

not being as good as durant doesnt make him a cancer
get real.
