That dramatic increase in size is what will propel Westbrook into a 30 ppg scorer
Watching him post rape the Clippers last season and get doubled every time he went down low was a thing of beauty. I hope they get him in the post a lot more this year.
I also would like to see Morrow get 30+ MPG along with Adams getting like 35+ MPG. Westbrook deserves to play alongside a sniper and someone who can actually score inside after having to carry the weight of Sefolosha and Perkins these past few seasons.
he is capable of that. problem is, he has a ball dominant shot jacking small forward that wants his stats.

I honestly think Westbrook is going to pass the ball a lot more this season. He said so during media day, and it makes sense now that our team got rid of some of the veteran scrubs that Brooks overplayed, like Sefolosha, Butler, and Fisher. Plus Adams should steal a bunch of Perkins' minutes as well.
OKC had a sneaky good offseason this year because it was basically addition by subtraction. We lost the scrubs that Brooks overplayed and we're hoping that he's not going to be a dumbass and start Perkins.
Plus our biggest need last year was perimeter shooting and we got one of the top 5 3pt shooters in the game.

I don't know if you are being serious or not, because you mostly post stupid shit.
Butler has always been complete ass in the playoffs and I was alright with his addition, only if it was as the 12th man or some shit.
Notice how he didn't sign with Miami because they wouldn't guarantee him any minutes, yet the instant he got in OKC, Jeremy Lamb was instantly dropped from the rotation.
Notice how Adams played great basketball all season long and in the playoffs.... yet still couldn't find more minutes in the rotation than banged up, overweight, and damn near useless Perkins.
Fisher had his moments midseason but after that he went to total shit as well. The guy is like 40 years old and Brooks played him like 40 minutes in game 6 vs the Spurs.... :facepalm
Brooks is such a drooling retard that I will never expect OKC to be the favorites with him coaching. Through his rotations, interview answers, and demeanor, it's clear that the guy has a hard on for untalented veterans unlike pretty much any coach I've ever seen before. He was one in his playing days so I guess he enjoys living vicariously through him.
He is the point guard for the best scorer since MJ. He should never approach that number.
30 points means there is a deficiency in the teams scoring ability. Durant will also average 30. Do you really want that many points scored by two players?

Durant will probably put up like 30/8/6 and Westbrook will probably put up like 21/9/5

OKC is replacing Perkins with Adams (unless Brooks is actually THAT stupid), Sefolosha with Morrow, Fisher with Lamb, and will get likely improvements from all of the young guys like Reggie, Lamb, PJ3, Ibaka, Adams, etc...
OKC's overall scoring and ball movement should be much better this season. They cut a bunch of dead weight (and shouldn't play Perkins much at all) and should replace it with some of these talented young guys.
So him getting 2 more assists a game isn't a stretch at all.
Do you think its a coincidence that Westbrook averaged 26 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists in the playoffs?
I am willing to bet anything Russell won't reach 26 PPG or 46% FG
I am willing to bet anything Russell won't reach 26 PPG or 46% FG
I'll take that bet.
You lose, you must get a Westbrook avatar for rest of season.
I lose, I'll get an avatar of any active NBA player you choose.
I am willing to bet anything Russell won't reach 26 PPG or 46% FG
He could shoot 46%, it's just a difference of one more make or one less miss per game. Not going to happen if he guns his way to 26 ppg however.
No. For these reasons:
a) Durant
b) No jumper
c) Shot selection
d) Lack of intelligence

butler shot like 40% from 3 with okc. He is one of the few veteran shot creators in this league.
thabo is a 3 point threat. He can shoot it from anywhere on the court and gets great shots from westbrook. Top that off with his superior defense, which okc lacks.
Fisher may be 40 yearsold but hes only the 3rd string for okc. If fisher was so trash, why did brooks play him so long in gamw 6 against the spurs? He had a great 3 point shooting year and played really solid defense.
Dude averaged 28/9/6 with 4 steals a game on 50% shooting vs Chris Paul in the playoffs...
And CP3 still going to carry the BS "best PG in the league" title too
Russell Westbrook will do great as always, but they need to fire Scott Brooks and find a better coach.
How can you be coaching this team for 6 or 7 years and still not have any offensive game plan expect Russell Westbrook go 1v5 every possession.

This dude just say Thabo is a 3 point threat.
I never took you seriously, but now that has never been more apparent.

shot 42% from 3 last year, before that shot 44% from 3.
had one bad stretch this year due to injuries and durant ball, now everyones hating on him?
Try again.

Dude is hyping up Caron Butler as some sort of great shot creator when he couldn't even stay on the BUCKS, and apparently OKC lacks defense now as well :lol
How some of these retards keep going without a ban yet I get a 2 week ban for simply saying "I don't give a shit" in response to a pissy mod asking me if I want a ban is beyond me
he is capable of that. problem is, he has a ball dominant shot jacking small forward that wants his stats.
Yeah, a "shot jacking" SF who's averaged 29 PPG on 49/38/89 shooting and 62% TS the last five seasons. What a travesty.
No. For these reasons:

He's actually got a jumper. Saying he has no jumper is misleading. It's just an inconsistent jumper. But anyone that's watched more than a few OKC games over the last few years knows Westbrook has a jumper that can be damn near automatic some games.
I'll take that bet.

Streaky ... same difference. I don't think anyone would classify Westbrook as a good jump shooter. A defense can sag off him and keep him some what contained due to the probability of inconsistency.
The point however is:
You need to have a consistent quality jumper to average 30 ppg. Putting up a little over 7 a quarter for 82 games requires great shot selection, and intelligence to accompany a good jumper. Another thing Westbrook doesn't have.
Westbrook is not averaging 30 ppg for a multitude of reasons. Both in his own ability, and the context of the team or his role.

Right, but that is different than saying he has "no" jumper. And his shot selection has gotten better. Point being, he has plenty of games or stretches of games where his jumper is money and he becomes impossible to defend. I do agree, though, that Westbrook's total package and the fact that he plays with Durant means there's no way in hell he'll even sniff a 30 PPG season. A 30 PPG month, sure, but he's not doing it over the course of an entire 82 game season.

You're arguing semantics due to sensitivity over your new bandwagon team, post KG, the OKC Thunder.
Westbrook isn't averaging 30 due to KD, yes.
Westbrook isn't averaging 30 w/o KD, either.
More defensive attention, inconsistent jumper, poor shot selection, over emotional player. He's an attacker, but I don't think his offensive game has enough savy to be that type of scorer.
Russell Westbrook quite frankly isn't good enough a scorer to average 30 ppg for an entire reason. That's the point.
A career 20 ppg on 43% player with the main focus of opposing defenses being on his teammate isn't going out and putting up 30 ppg. **** your stupid sensitivity for Thunder players. It's called reality.

My new bandwagon team? The f**k are you talking about? I've been a Thunder fan essentially since they moved to OKC and I went to a few games during their second season in OKC. I never had a real favorite team before that. It was essentially just whoever Garnett was playing for. Quit talking out of your ass about things you have no clue about. Even if it was a "bandwagon" thing, I've been posting as an OKC fan pretty much since I joined ISH five years ago. It's not like my OKC affinity just started within the last 2-3 seasons.
And did you just completely skip over the part where I said I agreed with you in that Westbrook wouldn't average 30 PPG? Jesus, sometimes you can be as big of a douche as there is on ISH.
That would be some feat especially since he plays alongside one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.
with the lack of any help, honestly westbrook needs to play off ball more and get some buckets of his own... I feel like Durant benefits a lot more from westbrook than the other way around when it should be near equal
who cares what he averages in the regular season when hes dropping 28/8/7 in the playoffs with clutchness
