As of right now, multiple sources familiar with the front office
I get the feeling it will be a very quiet trade period for the team. Outside of maybe getting involved as a 3rd party to help a deal get done I don't see much happening.
I imagine they will stand pat but with their cap space and roster flexibility who knows.
I'd guess Erick Green will be signed for the rest of the year. He looks like he could be a bigger better cheaper version of Trey Burke.
Like El Kabong said, I don't think the Jazz are going to go for any trades at the moment, and why should they? Things are looking up, we're almost all healthy (should be next week!) and trading might mess up what's going on. Also as Xiao has stated many times, this team doesn't want to spend, so I doubt they bring in anyone that might cost them some Benjamin's down the line. I've heard Jeff Teague talk, but I highly doubt the Jazz bite, Neto is doing a lot better as of late and we still need to see what happens with Exum next season.
I think there is room for 3 pg's in the rotation because of Exum's size but the price sounds too high for Teague. I could see something happening for the right price but they'll probably just do something for assets for their cap space if anything at all.

I knew about the Jazz, they're just making the J-note their primary and maybe eliminating the mountains, although I doubt that. I did not however know about the Kings or Pistons. I think the pistons are fine with their logo, although the Kings could use a remake and ditch their current purple jerseys.

From what I read, nothing changes for the Jazz since we're already using the J-note on everything, so no new logos or uni's, but officially the Mountains is still the primary logo, and the league is making them change the J-note to the primary since they're using it for everything now.
Now whether they just move the mountains to the secondary, or create something new I'm not sure. Hopefully they just go back to the older logos that they used through 80's and early/mid 90's. Never should have changed them anyway.

Should have changed the name when they moved here.

Despite all the hype he isn't the MVP of the team and if what Hood is doing is for real he might not even be their go to guy anymore. He's better all around but Hood isn't far behind the past month. Hood is 2 1/2 years younger with a lot less experience. I'd imagine he'll be selected to compete against the Dream Team this summer and probably be part of the next group for the Dream Team extended roster. Hayward isn't far from being their 4th best player. They may have to look into trading him. They can't afford all 4 maybe not even 3.
While his defense was still valuable at times, it's impossible to keep a guy on the roster if he is such a liability on one end of the floor.
Yet Exum is hyped at every turn despite being that player before his injury.
Pleiss has struggled at both ends of the floor during his rookie season.
I thought he looked good the couple of games where he got meaningful minutes
On the plus side, the Jazz won both games he played in.
Because they were blowouts! That's why he played
Grade: B+
Withey with a higher grade than two guys he plays behind! Hard to argue with it either. He's certainly better than Lyles right now.

Gordon Hayward
He's been healthy so I can see it but I'd have to go Rudy still.
Most improved player
Rodney Hood
I expected this from Hood. Got to go Burke.
Very few people were even sure if Withey would earn a roster spot when he came to camp, but he proved that he is much more than a third center.
I expected him to be at least the 4th big with his experience and he's arguably #3 despite being benched so Lyles can develop. He's an NBA back-up possibly a starter for some teams.
He is one of the best shot blockers the Jazz have ever had
One of the best ever.
While no one expects him to be the regular starter once Exum returns
Neto should be the starter going into fall camp. Exum should be fighting for rotation minutes. with Burke, Johnson and Ingles though I'm sure like Lyles he will play regardless. Neto is better now than Exum was a year ago.

Wouldn't call it an area of strength with Johnson and Ingles in the rotation. Too high of a price for possibly just a rental.

These four guys are your best bench players and they have played the four most minutes.
Debatable as to if they are the best or not. Ingles has been in and out of the rotation
Furthermore, the team seems to do WELL with some guys on the floor, who just aren't playing. It's hard to overlook Jeff Withey here, as he actually leads the team in +/- and at least with the bigmen, he's more efficient than the guy getting minutes ahead of him. I don't know why this is, but we can guess in the comments section.
You really don't know why? It seems obvious to me that development comes before winning. I think the front office would rather be in the lottery. No other reason that their 3rd or 4th best big doesn't play unless they are forced to because of injuries. How many games has Lyles playing over Withey cost them this year? :rant
Burke as a bench scorer works at an average level. He's not great or good yet.
Last I heard he was like 3rd leading bench scorer in the league. How is that average? :confusedshrug:
Trey does impress. Let's start with the fact that he's shooting 4.3 three pointers a game and making 34.7% of them.
That isn't very good.
Trey is better than Jameer this year because of better stats, including a better three point percentage and attempts) for the point guards, I'll do so here, and place Booker in the 11th to 20th ranking for PF / Bigs. This tells me that the Jazz could upgrade this position easier than point guard. But that's just how I feel. Booker's role with the team, and his minutes, have been one of few constants this season. He has done amazing things. But I feel as though his on court performance has been lesser than the role he has been given.
He'd look a lot better if Withey was playing instead of Lyles. Hard to really compare Booker by using stats. His energy has been the difference in many games this year.
Joe is a Jack of all trades, he can help with shooting, defending, play making. But some of the top playoff teams have a fourth wing who is a specialist, not a generalist.
I'd say he's a specialist. He helps handle the ball and run the offense, spots up for 3's and tries to defend. I wouldn't call him a jack of all trades.
(Of course, the x-factor here is "Will Raul Neto be a better bench point guard than Trey Burke?" and in that case we speculate that he will. Burke isn't competing against Neto right now, but he will next season if he's still on the team.)
Will Exum be a better starter than Neto? Neto is better now than Exum was last year.
The Jazz may have the future specialist 3rd big in the wings with Trey Lyles. He turned 20 during the season and already does a number of things better than Booker.
As does Withey. Lyles should be in the D-league.
But some of the answers may already be on the team already. Jeff Withey and Trey Lyles should eat into Booker's minutes.
This guy is really under appreciating what Booker brings. Not surprising. I get the feeling like he doesn't even watch games but just crunches numbers.
Having Alec back will give the bench a shot in the arm that they've been missing for so long. And having him back means that someone like Ingles is the 4th wing, and not the 3rd wing anymore.
