LeBron James diagnosed with high ankle sprain
Possibly. Recovery time is 6 weeks to 3 months or longer depending on how badly damaged the ligaments are. Playing on an injured High Ankle sprain can lead to A broken Tibia. I think he might actually be done for the season. It's possible that he could be okay to play sometime inside the playoffs if his team can carry on without him and hold the fort down. Not good.

Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
the high sprain is so much worse than the normal sprain, messes the attachment to your bones, damages the connection with the calf muscle....
depends on how serious
as noted elsewhere i had a bad one a few years ago, along with a fracture in the ankle; the fracture was almost ignored as it would be fine with an air cast and time to mend
the sprain on the other hand, took months to get back to normal, going down stairs was a chore
of course he's much better physically and gets all the modern help, but this injury is usually 4-6 weeks in the NFL

Hopefully, the 4 weeks is all that is needed. I want to say that Basketball is probably worse on these parts of the body than football though. Noone is going to want Lebron to come back in 4 weeks only to reinjure himself. Im saying 6 weeks at the very least.

Jeff Stotts@InStreetClothes
Over the last seven 82-game seasons, the average missed time for an isolated high ankle sprain is ~10 games. However the variability is high and a quicker return is possible.

I hope he comes back. League would be boring without LeBron.
-
Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
Every injury is different there are 3 grades of a sprain and every athlete recovers differently. For example Ja Morant had a grade two sprain but could not put weight on his foot and left in a wheel chair but was back in 3 weeks. Lebron attempted to play on and was jumping on the ankle 5 minutes after the injury, there is just not enough information on the extent of the injury yet.

Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
Considering Lebrons Scream of anguish I would think that his injury is on the worse end of the spectrum. Then again, Ive hit my little Toe on the coffee table and had A similar reaction. I'm fine now. Took A few hours to recover.

Klay Thompson played with a high ankle sprain in the 2018 NBA Finals. He missed zero games.

This. There's still a lot of regular season to go. It will actually help the Lakers in the long run.
-
Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
Lakers season is in danger of being over. If Lebron is out a month and Davis is out for another 2 weeks, they may lose all those games in that span. Looking at how tight the west conference is, this could eventually lead to Lebron\Davis returning for the PLAY IN game to make playoffs.

It will give the less desirables a chance to build and shine. THT might step up. Maybe Kuzma for once. We shall see.
-
Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
As long as we make the playoffs.....that's all I'm asking. If the Lakers take eighth place and have a healthy James and Davis going into the playoffs, whoever is number one is not going to be happy.

Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
Still believe he can return when playoff time comes, knowing king kong lol.

Re: High Ankle Sprain more serious than I thought: Bron's season is over.
I hope LeBron doesn't press this to keep up in the MVP race or something like that.
High ankle sprains can be rough, but even at 36, I think LeBron will be mostly completely fine by the end of April. He might lack some of his lateral quickness, but his full court speed and bounce and dexterity will still be there. He's 6'9" 260 and he's powerful and his jumper is solid. He can get an efficient 27 a game when the time comes, especially if AD is good to go and close to 100%. Give it five or so weeks , get him back by earlyish May, ramp up for the playoffs. Doesn't really matter where they finish in the West in my eyes. The Clippers cannot beat them, the Lakers would win in 6 games. Nuggets aren't good enough without a decent move to replace Jerami Grant. One thing I think this will seriously do is hinder their ability to beat the Nets, assuming KD is back and 95% of himself and Kyrie makes it through the season healthy.
I want the Lakers to get Andre Drummond. He's not a great player, but he's a big, elite athlete who can snatch every rebound and I think would be an obvious upgrade compared to Gasol. He's an elite rebounder, lob threat and he gives the Lakers another guy who can just do things. He could get 17-18 ppg with LeBron and just staying in his role. With Schroder, Trezzl, Kuzma, KCP, Caruso and THT filling in the spots, it's a decent team even without AD. With AD at 90% still very dangerous. LeBron just needs to recover and take it easy.

OP?
Thoughts on you saying AD is not a top 10 BIG in the league?

Or this one about Jrue Holiday > Davis?

Let us know. Thanks.

Celebrating a players injury? Why are there so many sick fvcks on this forum? A lot of you have high school mass shooter mentality. All angry virgins

Re: Bran in a walking boot
I won't celebrate but we're sick of Lebron because he's the John Cena of basketball. He's holding back other talent by hogging spotlight.

Re: Bran in a walking boot
I'm going easy on Lebron because I believe he was intentionally injured on orders from Powers That Be. Seeing them plan and pull off injuries confirms my believe that they view athletes like Lebron as non-human.

I take it back. That piece of shit deliberately tried to injure Joel Embiid.
Thank you Powers That Be for purposefully injuring that piece of shit. Hope that ankle injury ends his career like Grant Hill.

What the hell does thecoli have to do with me? We don't even like same athletes. I mainly root for non-white foreign players and light skin black players.
