People need to travel more. Our perception of Indians in the US is way off from actual India. All my Indian friends growing up had parents who were engineers, doctors etc, the actual country of india is disgusting. Had to live off granola bars for a week and I made sure to always go out on an empty stomach so I never have to use public restrooms.That’s just one example. And yes, I know it’s selfish but I don’t want my country to end up like that.

I've been to India, very religious conservative country. They have lots of children and it's hard for the economy to keep up, especially when women don't have prominent roles in the workforce.

None of that is an issue in the US. We get their well off who travel here to go to college and work a trade. There is no need to fear them turning the US into India. It's India that needs to fear the US taking their best.

Not everyone in India is smart. The reason they tend to succeed here are because up until recently, it wasn't easy to come to the US if you were an Indian considering the geography and distance to the US . They don't get refugee status here, so they had to be either extremely motivated or educated/skilled on a work Visa. These refugees from Central and South America, Haiti, the middle east are nothing special. They are mostly bottom of the barrel human beings who will bring this nation to it's knees once automation starts doing most of their jobs and we are stuck caring for them and their dumb kids who could give a rat's ass in appreciation to the nation that saved them

When my dd attended interview invitations for 8 year medical programs, we were surprised to find the invitees were mostly Indian girls (not males - I guess they go engineering). They have similar hard-working, high achieving expectations as Chinese kids but with the added advantage of English being their native language.
