Re: 2025 NBA Free Agency Discussion
What I posted as a notable list. I didn't feel like listing almost all two hundred names.
One player that could really help a team is Chris Paul to Dallas. Kyrie is probably out until at least January projected. Dallas could resign Exum and give their $5+ million exception to Chris Paul. I think that could hold down the fort until Kyrie gets back and at least make them competitive if not more.

Re: 2025 NBA Free Agency Discussion
Really boring free agency, barely any starter quality guys. Nickiel is most interesting unrestricted guy. Also think you missed maybe the best free agent in Quentin grimes. He was ridiculous in Philly even better than kuminga the next best player who could move imo.
Very few teams going get a starter in free agency I think. Trade market will be interesting however

Yep I forgot Grimes. Another Maverick that was given up on.

Raptors and Masai Ujiri part ways. He was responsible for building the 2019 championship team.

Lakers need to pick up Capela.

He fits. Do they have more than vet minimum?

Someone will be paying him a lot

Re: 2025 NBA Free Agency Discussion
The Lakers will have access to exceptions like the non-taxpayer mid-level exception and the biannual exception, but using them could hard cap the team at the first apron, according to Sports Illustrated.

Lebron and DFS will likely decline their player options so they can use the MLE. Lebron probably takes a discount to help the team and DFS gets a new contract with a lower starting salary is what I'm guessing.

I forget who it was, but someone contacted the Raptors about his availability this past season I believe.

Denver should be making moves with players like the Lakers should. Nuggets are a piece away.
It would be nice that when Jokic comes off the floor the Nuggets don't completely fall apart offensively.

Well worth it. Can they move Gobert?

Re: 2025 NBA Free Agency Discussion
They can but they will need a starting center

Not without taking terrible contracts back.
They can but they will need a starting center
Reid put up 18 PPG, 9 REB, 3 AST, 1 BLK across 17 starts last season. I think that is sufficient. No he doesn't have the overall impact of Gobert when Rudy is playing his best ball, but Reid also will make $25M vs Rudy's $40M.
If Minny can convert that $40M in to a Conly replacement and a solid back up big, they could be better in the long run.Rudy will age like warm milk.

Re: 2025 NBA Free Agency Discussion
Unless they trade gobert, Minnesota can’t keep both Randle and naw without going into 2nd apron. Think really good chance naw goes somewhere else
-
Re: 2025 NBA Free Agency Discussion
Randle has player option. Why would you want to keep him adter disappearing in the finals?

You can’t replace him and he’s a big reason you made the conference finals

On behalf of the Dallas Mavericks community... we'd like to express interest in Chris Paul

Randle had a uptick in production across the board in comparison to his regular season. Gobert had a swan dive in production across the board and the worst efficiency of his career, rookie season included.
But Mr. Can't Quit Me will continue to reinvent history.

Randle had a 2.8epm in playoffs almost as good as Edwards at 3.2. Gobert was a 0.6. Epm is the best advanced stats and gobert used to dominate. He’s past his prime however

Making cavs worse helps jazz
The Utah Jazz have emerged as a team to watch in free agency as guard Ty Jerome hits the open market following a career-best season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, league sources told RG. Jerome averaged 12.5 points, 3.4 assists and shot 51.6% from the field in 70 games last season for Cleveland, including over 40% shooting from beyond the arc. He also played well in the postseason, averaging 11.7 points and 3.6 assists on 50% shooting, including 46.7% from three. 10 mins ago – via Responsible Gaming

This would be his first real contract at 28 years old looking for what might be a final payday. I would hate this if I were a Jazz fan, especially considering they are finally about to have flexibility once Collins, Sexton and Clarkson expire.
This has to be a fake report to gain negotiation leverage.
