Blue Collar wage growth the highest it's been in almost 60yrs.
In President Donald J. Trump’s first five months in office, real wages for hourly workers have seen their largest increase under any administration in nearly 60 years — and we’re just getting started with pro-growth, pro-prosperity policies that finally put America First.
Blue-collar workers have seen real wages grow almost two percent in the first five months of President Trump’s second term — a stark contrast from the negative wage growth seen during the first five months of the Biden Administration.
“The only other time it has been this high … was during President Trump’s first term,” Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said in an interview with the New York Post.
The New York Post notes: “Since Richard Nixon in 1969, Trump has been the only president to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in his first five months. He also achieved 1.3% in his first term … The recovery from a 1.7% decline recorded in Biden’s first five months, as inflation outpaced earnings, suggests a shift in economic conditions for this financially stressed segment of the workforce.”

Re: Blue Collar wage growth the highest it's been in almost 60yrs.
Simply removing all the cheap illegal labor from the mean average will instantly make the average much higher. This is not the "W" that it looks like it is. No one is making more money, we just erased the lowest wages from the equation.

Uh, what?
Assuming you're right and that's what's causing the uptick, how do you conclude that no one is making more money? Those low wage jobs that were going to illegals would now go to US citizens and at higher wages.

It's simple math
Remove all the lowest "illegal" wages, and of those left remaining, the AVERAGE wage is now higher without anyone getting a raise.

i'd say inflation is the biggest cause. wages weren't growing immediately after covid bc wages always lag behind. and truthfully, are we supposed to trust anything trump's admin publishes? especially when their only source is the new york post? lol. i can publish a statement saying "i offer the best xyz service in the country as seen on the new york post", all bc i paid to have an ad run on their site.

It's really wild how you don't even understand your own hypothetical scenario. :oldlol:
If someone is employing illegals at low unfair wages, but those employees are removed, they now have no choice but to offer those jobs to americans at fair market wages.
Those jobs just don't disappear.

yes, and therefore their end product/service also increases in price. hence, inflation. congrats, you just played yourself.
i specifically remember the republican party being against $17/hr min wage 10 years ago bc it would increase the price of mcdonald's burgers, and cause inflation as a result.

I could totally understand why you would think that, because you're an autistic retard who doesn't understand basic things and so you can't help but misinterpret the other side's argument.
The right believes that employees are entitled to fair market wages. Nothing more, nothing less. If the government is artificially setting the price of labor, that undermines the free market. If an employer is paying below market wages to illegals because those applicants have no other options, that also undermines the free market.

is that why they're fuming and complaining to trump that their farming illegal employees are being deported? is that why trump is considering a temporary stay for farming and hotel workers? Doesn't this undermine immigration enforcement's efforts in ridding the country of illegals? or affect market wages by not only allowing but blessing illegal immigrants in the agricultural and hospitality industry to work for below min wages?
you also know zero about profit and loss or the cause and effect of wages to an end product/service. you've never sat down with a cpa and gone over your numbers down to the cent.

nice. i still don't see that in AZ, where the majority of blue collar workers are Hispanic. it goes without saying that the majority of employers for blue collar jobs are MAGA, actually like 99% of them are MAGAs. interesting that this goes unsaid on fox news or social media. a very interesting fact indeed if i say so myself.
also interesting that the president owns hotels and is now pleading the feds to allow illegal hotel workers to stay. very interesting and totally not illegal or suspicious.

Mega's that have millions are moving out of cities and into the wilderness...
building their same homes on rivers , lakes , and woods.

That labor is mostly being replaced by automation and the others having to pick up the slack. It's not being replaced by white people, that's for sure.
Still a work shortage in the restaurant industry because whites refuse to do it.
Illegals were a god send for whites tbh

This was an extremely telling response from you.
I made no mention of color. I said that the jobs being done by illegals would go to american citizens. But when you hear "american citizen", you immediately think of white people by default. You could have just as easily said that illegals do the jobs that americans won't, but you specifically chose to isolate white people. Very odd but revealing choice.
Can I ask why you have zero consideration for non-white americans who also might want to consider applying for a job?

Why did you choose to isolate white people in your response?
Why go out of your way to say "white people are lazy" during a discussion about american jobs?

Oh yea? Interesting.
So if illegals are deported and all these job openings become available, and all the white people are too lazy, wouldn't that be a great thing for all the hardworking non-whites? Wouldn't that mean higher wages and less competition in the job market?
How come you don't want non-whites earning higher wages?

Liberals are notorious hypocrites.
It's all virtue signaling... and none of these white liberals gave a flying f*ck about the issue before 2016.
How many illegals did Obama deport? There wasn't one white libtard that gave a f*ck about Obama deporting illegals. Not one.
Trump says "you have to go back" in 2016, wins the election, and suddenly the white libtard community is pretending that they give a $hit about the lawnmower man.
I think the political incorrectness of Trump is what was attractive to half the country, and appaling to the other half.
They'd rather have a braindead senile stiff in the white house who comes across as "presidential" and is politically correct, as opposed to Trump who straight up doesn't give a f*ck.
It's 100% TDS, nothing more, nothing less.
Do you really think Bill Gates cares about Diego, Alejandro, and Antonio getting deported?.... no, he doesn't. It's only because team MAGA supports it.
Liberals used to sing a different tune before MAGA entered the picture:

For years they pretended like illegal immigration wasn't even a problem. From 2015 up until about 2023, if you even mentioned illegal immigration you were dubbed an evil racist spouting fake conspiracy theories.
Sometime in the middle of Biden's administration it started backfiring and you saw democrats slowly abandoning ship. By the time we were approaching the election Kamala was campaigning on finishing Trump's wall. :oldlol:
Hypocrites like Bill Gates said nothing at all. They pretend they're moderates on the subject now. They'll hit you with "Look I'm okay with getting rid of the criminals everyone agrees with that but not the hardworking ones..."
Meanwhile they said fukk all when the criminals were actually pouring in and called YOU an evil racist for daring to point it out.

It's all virtue signaling & MAGA hate.
Kamala could've won and done things on a more extreme level than Trump, and white liberals would've somehow still applauded her... or just stayed silent.
Liberals showed their true colors when they were satisfied with having a 4 year Weekend at Bernie's

In the traditionally Democratic strongholds along the border, Trump managed a near sweep.
He won 14 out of the 18 counties within 20 miles of the border, a number that doubled his attention-grabbing 2020 performance in the Latino-majority region.
