Re: The more I watch Lebron the more I am starting to think he's better than MJ
This seems to be said every year when Lebron is going through cupcake eastern conference opponents until he gets to the Finals and shoots his typical sub 30% from the perimeter and looks like a scared passive bitch where teams stand 5 feet from him and dare him to shoot. Then everyone gets a dose of reality and knows he will never be on Jordan's level.
I have watched the NBA since the 80's and no question Lebron is the most polarizing Player since Prime Shaq and the best Player since MJ. He truly is the face of the NBA and one of the best players to ever play the game if U think about how good he was in HS all the hype and how he lived up to the Hype and in some ways surpassed it. I think Lebron need another 5 great/very good seasons with at least another 2 titles to be put in best ever conversation but as it stands now he is one of the best players I and any of U have seen play and thus why he has so many haters.

Re: The more I watch Lebron the more I am starting to think he's better than MJ
If Lebron were to truly play at his full potential 48 minutes a game. He would be the closest to posting up Wilt's stats in modern day basketball.
But that is no promise to help him win rings.
Recognizing game scenarios and situations as well as team chemistry performance.
He can and will become greater than MJ
Greater, I didn't say better.
Re: The more I watch Lebron the more I am starting to think he's better than MJ
He wasn't better than KD for most of the year, and after 8 playoff games, he's the greatest ever? :lol
Re: The more I watch Lebron the more I am starting to think he's better than MJ
I think Jordan is the 2011-2014 Chicago Bulls of players... he is ALWAYS going "Championship on the line" hard. Always. The huge difference, though, is that he had "Miami Heat" talent. He quite literally probably maxed himself out. I have never really come away from a game thinking.... Jordan left a little out there. He could have done more.
Lebron, on the other hand... He may be more talented/better than MJ, but only when/if Lebron is playing at his "Championship on the line" level. He, just like Shaq, and probably many others before him, just tends to coast all too often to be considered the GOAT.
Lebron at his best and Jordan at his best? That's incredibly close. But taking the day-to-day play, games, etc... that's Jordan, and Lebron will likely never pass him. If he has not changed his "habits" by now, he likely won't.

Jordan Mythologists/Nostalgists are a funny, insecure group.

Most insecure fan base by far. Their favorite player is retired so all they can do now is root for other players to fail, cheer on the Bobcats, and beat off to Space Jam. LeBron is better than their favorite player ever was.
Re: The more I watch Lebron the more I am starting to think he's better than MJ
Jordan will always be greater. LeBron is lacking the killer instinct.
