Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
so why do animals make the choice to be gay? its not like humans are the only living creatures that make this choice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexual_behavior_in_animals
Animals dont choose to be gay.
and how does this serve a purpose? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4vpXS5BKyc
I remember reading that animals like bonobos may exhibit such behavior to show a hierarchy in their community.
Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
What's so slippery about morality? Just be consistent. Why cant everybody justify their actions by alluding to animals?
Because gay sex doesn't hurt anyone and doesn't negatively impact society. In fact, since we know the two people aren't going to produce children, it's probably a benefit since they aren't contributing to the heavy population growth. Murder and violence is also natural but it negatively impacts society. So there's really no correlation there
Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
Oh humans and their insecurity of superiority. :oldlol:

???
Im pro gay. Feel horrible for that guy to have to deal with parents who hate him for how he was born
Edit: just for the record a summary of my political positions/beliefs
I tend to believe something strongly or not at all. I am not moderate in any of my positions. I hold both liberal and conservative positions (as those words apply to the modern american context), always vote democratic though. the only time I would have voted for the GOP candidate was against dukakis (was way too young to vote) His positions on the death penalty would have caused me to support he GOP.
I was on my high school debate team and was in a debate club in university, so all of my positions are extremely strongly held
- I am an atheist
- Strongly support government intervention and keynesian economics.
- Strongly support the move away from the gold standard to keep our export market competitive
-Strongly support social welfare spending, people should ask what their governments can do for them. eg support medicare, medicaid and SS
- Wish US tax system and overall government was more federal and less state controlled.
-Strongly support lowering corporate taxes on manufacturers that manufacture within the United states.
-Strongly support the clinton era federal income taxes.
-want to remove the cap on SS contributions
-Wish public schools weren't funded by property taxes, which imo is the biggest factor in perpetual poverty.
-Strongly support tough sentencing for violent crimes. For violent crimes the legal system imo should not consider rehabilitation and should focus on punishment. Society owes nothing to violent criminals and has a responsibility to victims and their families.
-Strongly support lenient sentencing for non -violent crimes.
-non-violent crimes often shouldn't even require jail time imo. We could save a lot of money getting the people who dont belong in prison out.
-strongly support the death penalty
- strongly support the legalization and regulation and taxing of all drugs. Eg including crack and cocaine. The only drugs I would limit are stuff like bath salts that cause users to be violent towards others. If we are allowed to **** up our health with fried chicken, why limit heroin use? Its your life, if you want to **** it up that should be your right.
-strongly support the legalization and regulation and taxing of prostitution. Pimping, when the use of violence or other forms of coercion is present, should be outlawed
-Strongly against racially based affirmative action and any other racially based quota. Would strongly support an economically based version of affirmative action. Eg. people from impoverished backgrounds have a quota of seats guaranteed to them.
Strongly support gay rights
strongly support a womans right to chose (eg. get an abortion)
Strongly support a womans right to give up a child for adoption.
Wish men had a similar right to server the legal rights and obligations to an unwanted child in an adoption like procedure.
Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
Gay people are born that way and its wrong to discriminate against people on factors they cant control and that dont hurt anybody else. For a gay man the idea of being with a woman is the equivalent of you ****ing a man.
I never chose to find women attractive, neither did that kids dad. And yet he thinks his son chose to find men attractive SMH
Never seen a gay man with boob/butt jobs and most blend in physically
Where do you live? Under a rock? Drive down Santa Monica blvd in West Hollywood. Its thick with those types of "men".
And its not just men. Women do the same thing. They wear big clothes to hide their shapes, cut their hair, talk in an undertone to disguise their voice. Who is this for? Who are they trying to attract? Definitely not straight women.
Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
Honestly, cause a lot of people don't give a flying fck about the Christian faith or its God who may or most likely does not exist. If you believe that God judges that's fine, but if someone else laughs at that notion, then it is what it is. They got the same right to deny any supernatural force decreeing what sex is okay and not okay
Yes they do. Thats why they always attempt to justify it or claim its not a sin. Christians dont argue as to whether or not people can or cant have homosexual sex. They say its wrong. Homosexuals are the ones always attempting to justify it.

Comparing homosexuality to murder and rape is insane.
If a gay dude wants to have sex and love another man, how does that hurt society?
Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
can't change what you're attracted to
Re: Parents Reacting To Son Being Gay
I think homosexual is like a mental defect that kicks in during childhood-early teens. From physical, psychological trauma to toxic chemicals that emasculate men.. mimicking estrogen. There's been studies that show tap water having high levels of these chemicals (as well as other nasty shit). Those are the biggest culprits imo.
I'm not entirely sold on the idea that people are born this way.
There are many gay people from happy households. I have a cousin that is a lesbian. I work with and am friends gay men. to my knowledge they are from happy families.
Even if gays arent born gay, its obviously not a choice. Second of all even if it were a choice, who cares, being religious is a choice. Being gay by itself doesnt hurt anyone.

From Toronto and most the Gay men I've met don't fit that description but most the gay men I know are in their late 20's to 40's.

This is what it boils down to. Trying to justify a persons decisions by saying they have no control over it is a terrible way to promote a civilized society.

Killing and raping is natural but it is a crazy comparison to make as Mavs explained. If people are worried about how Gays impact society then why are they not more concerned with Adulterers, pre marital sex, and countless other sins of the bedroom.
