Hmm.. The anti-kobe groupie propping himself as a Lakers fan is doin work I see (referring to the user who created this thread)..
To answer your question: Yes, theres people who believe that Kobe Bryant's personality is contrived.
Now, Is his personality contrived? Not sure.. Thats really difficult to determine. I don't even know how one can have a contrived personality or a genuine one. I'm no expert in human behavior, and don't know Kobe on a personal level despite watching him as a fan since his rookie season.
Lets suppose his personality is contrived for the sake of argument.. And? What the hell does that have to do with his profession and why does it even matter? Such bullshit.. get over yourselves and stop being so judgmental of people you'll never ever be even in the same room with, let a lone have a conversation. Such pointless fluf.

This.
Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
Its because of this aggressiveness that he is so successful.

I think it's actually because he's pretty good at basketball. Being aggressive doesn't help when you suck.
Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
he s clearely anti social to be honnest. He despises people. He s a perfectionnist which means he s never satisfied, and the cheating story with that white whore is the best proof of it. The guy is constantly frustrated. He has that angry little spoiled kid personnality, typical of rich kids who travelled a lot and were always told they are the bests.
And i agree all the stuff with the family sounds inconceivably fake everytime i see it. His wife is a puppet and he s a control freak.
Must not be funny to live in the shadow of such a manipulative, egocentrical character.

it wouldnt surprise me if the guy has some kind of unresolved beef toward his parents that would require the help of a psychologist.
A lot of excellent people are in fact deeply sad people with an extremistic personality that would be considered as abnormal people with conflictual personalities had they been everyday average joes living in our everyday life. And the origin of this abrnomal behaviors are always deeply rooted in traumas that occured in their childhood. They try to overcompensate for something they lack.
Some "crazy people" succeed because they can use their craziness at the right place at the right time, while they would be considered as mental cases ruining the life of everyone had they been living with the mortals.
Is he happy? that is yet to prove. Jordan never struck me as an happy individual either. What is the price to pay for such dedication and aggressiveness, such mastery in one domain of one's existence ? Nothing is ever free, everything has a cost.
Great posts, repped.

This is funny coming from Kb42p@h's bff. But yeah, this has nothing to do with his game, Kobe is a great player. All I wanted to know is if people (like the random NFL player) feel Kobe is in genuine. Of course you'd see it as an "agenda" though.

True but the way he plays basketball has alot to do with his personality. Having the balls to take the shot he does, the mentality to keep attacking the opponent and then rubbing in his success in people's faces. And like you said, it also helps that he is bloody skilled and talented. But there athletes that are just as talented or more then Kobe and will never get anywhere because they just dont have the personality.

And this isn't the first time you've made a thread on Kobe's personality and perceived fakeness.
Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
I bet the same people who say "How can Kobe play with such little joy" are the ones saying "Dwight smiles too much".
Hate to do it, but.....

It's not. Dwight will never win anything in his career if he keeps smiling and trying to be funny on the court.

You and Alborz = bro's before hoes.

I'm sorry I don't worship Kobe 24/7 like you do.
Actually it is. Prove me wrong and post "another" thread where I've made the same topic. I'll be waiting.
Re: Do people believe Kobe's personality is contrived?
Dude included the play where Kobe got dunked on in his highlights of Game 6 2010 WCF. :oldlol:

You realize it took me 4-5 days to DL that game off a torrent, right? I'd waste 11 gigs (all HD) just to upload Kobe getting dunked on lol. Never mind the 9 other minutes of just him scoring.
SMH.

??? Don't know what the hell you're talking about.. and how does this bare any relevance to this topic.
I'm sorry I don't worship Kobe 24/7 like you do.
Worship? right..
I don't think he's the greatest of all-time.. don't believe he's top 5 All-Time, and had him behind LeBron for well over two seasons and Wade just last season. Kobe worship my left nut.
Actually it is. Prove me wrong and post "another" thread where I've made the same topic. I'll be waiting.
I don't have the search function, and can't look up your thread history..
and even then, mods get rid of a ton of junk like that so it's probably deleted... so no.

Just using your own logic against you. Keep up. You, Jacks and all the other detractors love to call people who don't praise Kobe everytime they make a post, haters. It's cool, though... Continue on.
