I think he had an average game. Couple lay-ups, assists. I remember some of his passes turned into turn-overs, but that was probably a combination of the lack of teamwork and the rustiness of some players' ballhandling.

I might have missed 10 Heat games last season at the most. At the beginning, I just wanted to see the Heat LeBron. By the end of the regular season, I was barely holding on to the thought that LeBron would suddenly flip the switch.
Watching all those games, it's blatantly obvious to me that last year's LeBron was a shadow of his former self. Sure, he put up the same stats, but his impact on the game was like 60% of his Cavs' prime. He didn't drive and get people in foul trouble; he stood around on the perimeter and let people defend off him; he let a ton of shot clocks wind down without doing anything.
Yeah, Wade was better than LeBron last year. I can't believe anybody would think otherwise. It's not a huge gap though. Wade had his flaws too, while LeBron had his good aspects.
In the playoffs, LeBron did get a little bit better, so the gap wasn't as huge (except in the Finals). I'd say LeBron had a better playoff run than Wade up until the Finals. But at the end of it all, there's no question who was the better player.

Great post. I actually thought LeBron was better in the regular season, hence why he got more MVP votes than Wade did. But yeah I would say the playoffs in particular the finals changed it all.
Lebron was exposed in many facets. He is not a consistent jump shooter. He can't beat people relentless off the dribble anymore like he use to. The zone destroyed him and he never found out how to adjust/play against it. He started getting passive when he pretty much lost Game 2 for the Heat. I think after Game 2 was the turning point. He lost all of his confidence for blowing that big lead and not being able to win it for them. I think after that he just decided to defer but it is too bad he overdid it and he ended up contributing to nothing. Part of that has to do with being mentally weak.
