Re: The Truth about Food in the United States
Also unlike regular natural sugar, HFCS inhibits your brain from releasing the hunger hormone leptin. Leptin gives you that feeling of fullness you get after a good meal and you feel satisfied for a long time. This is why I think people (especially kids) feel hungry again an hour after eating or want a snack again just after eating dinner because they're eating a bunch of things with HFCS in it.
Yeah, all junk. crazy that despite all scientific data proving it's a terrible ingredient, we continue to use it. i will be interested to see if RFK actually bans it. gonna guess that the pusback will be too much from the large corporations that use it and it won't be prohibited.

Much of the Midwest’s income is corn based, due to heavy subsidies. There will be a lot of starving farmers. Cons hate scientific data.
Heinz Ketchup is based.
We pretty much have the French version.
ketchup is a child’s condiment

Yup, this. We're basically paying the farmers to poison us. High fructose corn syrup isn't even a particularly cheap ingrediant if not for the Nixon subsidies. If only we had half the food regulations European countries did, but we're just so ****ing corrupt.

That poster has an extraordinarily low iq. Even for the usual suspects this dude is a stand out.
Re: The Truth about Food in the United States
I’ve definitely noticed those differences! I remember when I visited Europe, I was amazed by how much fresher the bread felt and how the cakes had a more subtle sweetness. Here in the U.S., I’ve gotten used to things having a longer shelf life, but it does make me think more about ingredients. A while ago, I started using coconut milk powder (I found this amazing organic version online), and it really made a difference in my cooking. I love how it adds a creamy texture without all the extra additives you sometimes get in the canned stuff. It’s become a go-to for smoothies and curries.

You're responding to a fake post by a digital marketer trying to get znatural products appear to appear higher in search results. I'll make real contribution to your thread instead:
A weird thing happened. Wilson found that she had more energy and less anxiety. She didn’t need as much coffee to get through the day and felt more motivated. She felt better eating an ultra-processed diet than she had before, a change she attributes to taking in more calories by eating full meals, instead of haphazard combinations of whole-food ingredients.
