Jalen Hurts is just a winner. May not have the “elite” stats people love which ties into their elite argument. But he gets the job done.
Turns out the offensive line is still ridiculously good.
You sir told no lies.

I’ll continue to tell no lies.
Jalen Hurts is a very good quarterback and yes is calm and a winner. He is NOT elite.
I get tired saying this because it seems like I’m trashing him which I’m really not but I also get tired of people putting him in that top 4. He just isn’t there.
Not saying you’re doing that by the way but just my thoughts since Jalen is the topic.

The Cowboys best player (Lamb) potentially costing them the game is sweet music. Gonna be a rough year for them I think.

What makes up an elite QB? What does Jalen lack from being elite? Just curious your thoughts. I’m neutral on the is Hurts elite or not. One thing is I’ve doubted Hurts since being drafted. So I’m not going to argue against him. Whatever he is he is. He outplayed imo Mahommes twice on the SB and won a ring. Good enough for me.

As it should be! And I definitely respect you going to bat for your guy.
As for what makes a guy elite? I think it's the ability to consistently do things with the ball that others can't do. The Eagles set things up and have the personel to make it easy for Jalen. 9 out of 10 throws are easy hitters on dig or short outs. It's all there for him to succeed and to his credit he takes advantage of it.
The true elites can be elite regardless of their situation. You can't tell me that if you give any of Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, and Burrow 6 months with that squad that they aren't absolutely dominating, both statistically and in the win column.

So dak spit first. Changes everything. Granted I done condone spitting but the context explains why Jalen did it.

If you have Lamar Jackson top 4 and act like Jalen had no case thats some backwards ass logic.
Hurts has been awesome in the playoffs while Lamar has struggled multiple times. Both are runners, but Jalen has a better ball through the air. And his style converts so many 4th downs and TDs at 1 yard that he makes Philly feel unstoppable. Absolutely an elite MVP level QB in the NFL.
You need to pass some of what youre smoking to me because I like to catch a buzz sometimes too.

It's not really "logic". I watch both players play and the degree of difficulty with the things that Lamar does is higher. He makes a wider array of throws from a variety of different platforms, has a better arm, and is in general more fluid as a passer. Jalen is a little stiff as a thrower and has a comparatively slow release. That and Lamar is quicker and has even an greater ability to escape pressure than Jalen does to make seemingly impossible plays out of nothing.
Again, most of Jalen's completions are digs, short outs, and curls with the occasional 1-on-1 deep ball. He can't throw the entire route tree nearly to the same level as the other guys, particularly Burrow, Mahomes, and Allen.
He's a very good quarterback and yes he is a great leader and a winner. He's more in the same tier as a guy like Stafford (maybe pre the most recent injury) than the top 4. Which is okay. Stafford is a gamer, Super Bowl winner, and eventual HOFer.

Hurts playoff stats crush Lamars. I'm not sure what you been watching but to act like they're different tiers in Jacksons direction is straight up silly.

The same thing everyone else who agrees is watching :lol
One player looks better than the other and can do more things at a high level. At one point Troy Aikman had a better playoff record and numbers than John Elway and I don't think anyone other than Cowboy fans thought he was actually better.

Its not playoff record. Its how they played. Lamar has crashed out before and been mid other times. Jalen pretty much just always showed up well. Extremely well actually.
