Testosterone levels are at their highest in the 20's. But doesn't mean we are at our strongest.
A 30-35 year old man 90% of the time is much stronger and bigger than a 21-25 year old man.
That is a flat-out LIE....Your muscles are primed for strength and explosion in your 20's. Your "heaviness" increases as you age, but your don't "get stronger"...
I got down to high school weight and fat index 2 years ago when i was 33...no matter how hard i tried, i still came in 20 pounds under my high school max bench. And i was taking Jack3D to kill the pain. I was no where close to my explosive high school jump....and i rarely trained my legs in high school.
I repeat...there is NO SUBSTITUTE for elevated testosterone...NONE.

Re: Wilt's Tall Tales
A 22 year old man compared to a 30-35 year old man is a big difference most of the time (ofcourse there some people that are different)
and it's not because they've been working out, they're just bigger and wider
Here's a quote from an article....
In large part, that's because we lose muscle cells as we age. When younger muscle cells get damaged, they're quickly repaired. That's not the case with older muscles, according to UCLA researcher and geriatrician Jonathan Wanagat. He says we don't know why muscles literally shrink as we age. But there are a number of theories.
"I think one of the ones that have become increasingly interesting and popular is the idea that the stem cells in the muscle are not able to respond to damage or to aging the way they did when we were younger," says Wanagat. And if damaged muscle cells aren't repaired, they sort of whittle away and die, he says. Decreases in growth hormone, testosterone and estrogen levels may also account for the loss of muscle fiber and the inability of tissue to replenish itself.

Umm...what does that have to do with anything??? There are alot of factors that effect that outcome.
How old are you, seriously.

You know guyz double the size of a 327lb dude?
Dayum u kno sum fat f_cks... of course they can't curl 100lbs :oldlol:
I obviously meant girth wise, and i'm not surprised he's over 300 at 7 ****ing feet tall. :lol I've seen dozens of dozens of vids and pics of wilt and i don't find that at all plausible. I'd believe he had a 450 lb bench press (even at that height) before i'd believe he could curl a 100 lb dumbbell in one hand. At my gym there are plenty of guys who make Wilt look like a string bean (i'm talking Phil Phister lites) and i've never once seen a curl with one hand close to 100 lb So excuse my skepticism

Train harder, the average age for strongman competitions is 32.
For explosive movements being in your early to mid 20s is a lot better, but for pure outright strength typically men in their early to mid 30s are stronger. All you have to do is check the ages of people who set powerlifting records, mostly early 30s.
You can attribute it to roids or HGH, but a lot of younger powerlifters are doing that as well.
