What do the Braves have to do to get a night game...
What do the Braves have to do to get a night game...
There's something about Truist Park where the Braves just don't play well during the day. Either too much sun in their eyes or something. I probably saw about 120+ Braves games this season in their entirety and their futility during day games is downright odd.
Not sure what AA is thinking going forward about this pitching staff, but I'm not sold on Max Fried and some ridiculous extension. He's a decent enough Starter during the regular season, but this guy chokes in the Playoffs. And while I think Kyle Wright and his 21 wins are very deceptive, Wright tends to pitch better under more stress, like the Playoffs. Last year was evidence. Not a fan of them bringing back Morton for one more year. Was hoping they would explore FA options like Rodon or DeGrom (and they still might). I honestly don't see Soroka back next year. If he ends up staying healthy, I would have pitch most of the year in the minors and possibly bring him up in the second half of next season.

Fried is a tough case. It's true that he has had his share of postseason struggles but that happens to a lot of guys for whatever reason. The sample size is so small that it's tough to truly deem that truly concerning. Not yet anyway.
Over the last 3 years in the regular season he has like a 2.60 ERA. That's not decent enough, that's bordering on elite. Like you said, with Morton and Soroka being question marks going forward you can't afford to lose someone as steady as Fried. Obviously there's a price for any player that will be too much but I doubt we'll pay it if it comes to that point. I trust AA honestly.
Would be very sweet if the Padres knock out the LA Dodgers

At least they made it to the 2nd Round. I wouldn't be laughing.
Sickening baseball played by the Braves out there. The offense fell of a cliff right after the Mets series. It's almost as if that was their World Series this year. Try to catch up to the Mets and ultimately surpass them. Riley sucked. Dansby sucked. Fried sucked. Morton sucked. Why in the ****ing hell did AA give Morton another 20 million dollars?? Why??
And last but not least, while he didn't suck with the bat, this idiot Ronald Acuña and his incomprehensible mistake in the outfield today. If I'm the Braves, I seriously entertain trade offers for him. They would get a haul for him and I wouldn't be mad at all.

Relax. It’s distressing yes but that’s baseball. The Phillies were insanely hot offensively and we were cold, and didn’t play well in the field. Sucks that it happened at the time it did but it’s not indicative of some grander issue with the team. There hasn’t been a repeat champion in over 20 years because no matter how good you are the stars do still have to align for you in a 5 game baseball series.
We’ll still win 95+ next year and have another shot. Again it sucks...but it’s all good.
Crazy win for the astros

Bruh the Phillies are this years braves. They made the comparison every 5 mins for as long as I watched today's game.
5th seed vs 6th seed, let's see it happen. Musgrove is dealing for the Padres.

Most boring game in MLB playoff history but I’m glad Astros got it done
Crazy win by the Guardians. This Gonzalez rookie has 3 game winning RBIs this postseason. Good stuff. Also, who the hell is the Yankees closer, I guess Chap? But he's hurt.

Chap's not even on the roster.
It would be nice if the Dodgers and Yankees get knocked out. I could see Phillies and 'Stros in the World Series.

The game 1 completely destroyed Mariners' momentum.
