this is a good question. in brief, i would respond that my relationship with God has become so much part of who i am that i cannot deny it-- it would be like denying myself.

as a human, i do not live out these beliefs perfectly, but i see them more as goals to strive toward. most christians (and thosee who try to define christianity) can be much too legalistic in how one's faith is practiced and it can be seen as "do this and dont do that". there is a place for precepts but it isnt the heart of the christian faith.

a feel of peace, security and "at-rightness" with the world i believe are benefits to a vibrant, lived faith

muslim, christian, atheist-- we are primarily humans and part of that human experience is our limitations as finite beings and making mistakes. we do not know it all and at times, we harm one another (knowingly and unknowingly)

i somewhat fear death but mostly i dont. (i actually just got back from a funeral!) i do believe in eternity (where the past present and future somehow collapse into the same reality-- but please dont ask me to try to explain it) and i believe that life just changes, and doesnt [U]really[/U] end.

i dont think that i myself overcome these kinds of things-- but only through the grace of God are these things "overcome". i thnk we dont really overcome many things in life, but learn to accept them and live with them. i like to look at death in this light
