I'm talking on AVERAGE
I'm 10 just like RRR3 said :D
I can gauge how old you are from your responses...your probably around 15 years old. Think your funny, know-it-all and all that stuff to be expected from young kids, and that's fine....but your arguing against nature and common sense.
Look no further than the best athletes in the world today....how old are they?? How many30-year olds do you know who are considered the best athletes in ANY sport?? i'm talking pure athleticism....your supposed to be an NBA fan, you should know what the ages of athletic peak are for basketball players.

are you just retarded? youth and athleticism go hand and hand ... but you are at your strongest in your late 20s and early 30s when your metabolism has slowed down
was Jordan stronger during his later years or in his early years of athleticism? The body naturally loses athleticism and compromises for it in strength

more mass = more "strength"
you peak in strength in the late 20s and early 30s and after that you're stagnant and then you begin to start to deteriorate ....
ok...20 year olds are stronger than 30 year olds...
c'mon man
developing bodies are stronger than developed bodies .... :facepalm

Jordan didn't start any strength training regimen until he was already 26, 27 years old....he wouldn't have been a skinny dude coming into the league if he had started his junior year in college...
This is all very much common sense.

even if he didn't you still think a 23 year Jordan would be physically stronger than a 32 year old Jordan?

That is not even a true statement....Your body mass consists of your bone density, fat index, and muscle mass....your body puts more fat on, and wants to hold onto that fat as you age. Your bone density also decreases as you age. You can appear bigger, but lack the lean muscle for the explosive movements when training for a specific sport. Not to mention to decrease in testosterone that robs you of the ABILITY to put on lean mass the much higher rate you can in your early 20's...
Again...this is all physiology 101.

YES....a 23 year old Jordan who would have started lifting at 16 in high school (just like top recruits do these days) would be physically and more importantly FUNCTIONALLY stronger than he would be at 32.....His explosiveness would not even be comparable.

That's not true man:
"Smith says Jordan is the hardest worker he's ever coached. In high school Jordan hustled so, he was nicknamed The Rabbit. Rabbit, run. When he enrolled at Chapel Hill, Jordan ran the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. This fall he ran a 4.3. By running and lifting weights he has substantially built up his upper body and gained 12 pounds in two years, most of it in the shoulders."
Your metabolism would not be an issue as long as your eating the correct the amount of foods...Michael Phelps was known to take in 12,000 calories a day during training...on the surface he doesn't look like much, but in reality he's one the most explosive swimmers in Olympic history...the power he generates through the water is incredible.

Re: Wilt's Tall Tales
osteopenia occurs in like your late 50s and 60s you moron
just stfu you have no idea how the body develops ... you are technically still "growing" in your early 20s ....
those explosive movements are related with youth and not so much on strength

OH MY BAD...he did a "little weight training " in college, but most of that mass is from MATURING from an 18 year old to a 21 year old. It is well known that Jordan would brag about not picking up a weight in the off-season early in his career(electing to play tons of golf), and still maintain his athleticism and slender physique....:facepalm
