LOL @ kobe being mentioned in a thread unrelated to him... again.
Well i guess it is "related" because it's the mvp award, but you know what i mean :)

mvp don't mean zip. now don't go running up a 20 page thread talking about it
let's move on to championships
I didn't read the rest of the thread.
But Shaq is right on the money. Nash is a ***.
Bai though shaq and lebron deserves to win the mvp in 2005 and 2006.

If they had a least valuable player award, Lebron would have won it in 2011, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Well, 2025 would have been a tie between Lebron and Bronny Junior.
It's just unfortunate that the media needs to create a narrative when awarding MVPs. It's the reason people both win (Ex: Rose) and why guys don't repeat (Ex: Jokic).
Shaq is right, he was plain more impactful and valuable than Nash during those years.

Shaq wasn't even the best player on his team in 2006.
Shaq is an overly sensitive ego maniac. Glad they gave those MVPs to Nash.
mvps are f.ucking dumb
A 17 year thread bump must be some kind of record.
Nash's MVP's were BS...but so were three of Shaq's rings

They really are. In a way they are disrespectful and unnecessary.
It's actually kind of embarrassing to win MVP, both for the recipient and the teammates. If it's truly a team sport, which it is, then it should never about individual accolades or accomplishments and we shouldn't be awarding them. That is what the money is for.
It's kind of unfair to boil down a team's success to just one player even if that player is really great. There has to be some level of resentment. You win and lose as a team so you should be awarded as a team.
Lol i wonder why. Probably because nash had his former teammate kobe beat in terms of who became a league mvp first.
