Cavs have Deng's bird rights. Can offer him an extra year even at a lower yearly salary than other teams:
Cavs may offer 4 years 44 mill (Bulls only offered 3 years) while holding the ace card with a 5th year option if anyone wants to go crazy and give him a four year deal.
Are the Bulls planning to waive Andrew Bynum??
So you're telling me that the Cavs gave up 3 or 4 picks to rent Luol Deng for half of season.
Not LeBron James, not Kevin Durant, but Luol Deng.
Cavs
Fair trade or the Cavs & Bulls considering Deng can walk at the end of the season.
Like it for both sides
... this. If the Cavs can keep Deng I think the Cavs come out on top with the emergence of Irving.
I think this is just more bait to go after Lebron. The Cavs can be contenders in the east. Bynum was dead weight.

The 1st round pick is likely useless(Kings won't make playoffs this year or next)
And 2 2nd rounders which usually don't get anything.
Not all that bad. Cavs are probably confident they can resign Deng.

Id say so. Whole reason they did the deal.
Miami?:oldlol:

Cavs are what .. 3 games out of the playoffs right now? Deng makes them better.
They're going to be MUCH better with Deng. He's a great defender and can score.
Let the record be set. Cavs make it past the first round.
(I'll be back.)

This coming from a Knicks fan? Am I the only one that got a good laugh out of poor use of picks?
Having a legit 3 helps the Cavs a lot. Who has played 3 for them this year? CJ Miles?

BAHAHAHAHAHAH, I'll be shocked if the Cavs even make the playoffs.
The Sacramento pick is top 12 protected in 2014 and then top 10 protected from '15-'17. So in all reality Sacramento doesn't even have to make the playoffs the next four years. Just barely miss em lol.
Even so the deal is what we needed. We needed cap relief, extra picks, playing time for Snell. This season was lost the second Rose fell to the ground in Portland. So heres to Jabari and Derrick, Simeon in the NBA!!
Cavs are set. They got a bunch of solid two-way players already and Deng fits right in while also brining a veteran, playoff tested presence.
I'm excited.

I didn't say the Knicks were any better. Usually they make stupid trades so I'm using this opportunity to laugh at other teams until the Knicks make another stupid deal :lol
