Looks like poido got banned
1) considering he's aussie, why is poido so obsessed with trump and the USA?
2) most aussies i've met IRL and online have been pretty laid-back, with a good sense of humor. poido seems almost the opposite of all that.
anyone know the answers to these deep mysteries of life...?

Poido used to be very laid back until his fiance talked him into the cuckold life. He's been very upset at black men ever since his fiance had a taste of the BBC.
anime is awesome.
My favorites are:
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Dragonball Z/Super/regular
Deathnote
Evangelion
Gurann Lagann
Kids on the Slope
Cowboy Bebop
FLCL
Squidgirl
@highwhey,
hmm, maybe poido needs to jump on the BBC train. that way he needn't be so jealous, and the marriage will be saved.

I could not for the life of me get into Evangelion. The episodes felt like eternities and I just quit watching.

It's one of those shows that only gets good around 10 episodes in but from there on out it is an awesome mind fuck. The first ten episodes are designed to lure you in to a false sense of security so when shit hits the fan, it is even more devastating.

still, it seems like that's become a pretty common model these days. i'm not saying that's bad, just... any particular format can get boring, i guess.
but my larger problem with anime is that i can't find anything that matches the stuff that first got me interested in it, like akira, the miyazaki movies, ghost in the shell and maybe a couple others. i've tried various ppl's suggestions and they've always turned out pretty boring, unfortunately.
i liked death note a lot right up until the botched ending. no real reason to watch it in anime or live action movie form. in fact, most stuff i'd prefer to read in manga form, such as all the amazing works of tezuka. so yeah, unless something is really kickass compared to its manga, i'm not gonna have much motivation for it.
