You're dedicating yourself to arguing an absolutely retarded perspective...but it's the internet, so you're free to do so.
You said:
I can look beyond what I like and understand why a game that I don't like is great. That is where we differ. I can look beyond personal preferences, you can't. Which is fine, but it's time to stop calling games "great" and start calling them what they really are, your favourites.
Empire named it #1 Best.
Funny thing is I see a lot of the games you've mentioned on these lists, and some of them don't even make it on these lists (top 100). Yet, these first 5 lists I came across (post-2013) all included The Last Of Us.
Who's biased here buddy?
I can't help it if this retardation has become contagious and spread through the internet. :confusedshrug:
All you have is a handful of lists and metacritic, I have yet to see how Last of Us has impacted anything. It's quality, while high, isn't higher than the true GOAT or top 10 candidates. It's a pretty game that may be great in the here and now, it's not much more than that.
You're admittedly unable to see greatness outside of your favourite genres so again, I'm not sure why you're still posting.
I have nothing against Last of Us, I just hate how overrated it has become.
In my opinion, The Last Of Us isn't a great game. I think every person that thinks otherwise is a retard. I proceeded to tell you why BioShock was better, even though I never even finished TLOU myself. In the end, I called you out for your bias perspective yet I'm the one who doesn't like linear action-adventure genre [even though I pretend I do, just to make my opinion seem less bias and more valid]. Even though many critics love this game, I think they are retards. They only get paid good money to play all these games and write informative reviews to the public. I am a far more reliable source, because I'm bias free and am far more rehearsed at properly evaluating video games.

Joining the Empire Online's 5/5 and OPM UK's 10/10, we now have Edge adding their own accolades for The Last of Us - but we don't have access to the whole review quite yet (embargo lifts on June 5th).
What we do have is preroll ads on youtube videos which have leaked the surprisingly high score (Edge is known for being quite critical);
For reference, here are their previous (and to my knowledge only) 10/10s, thanks @ Neogaf user StevePharma
Super Mario 64; Nintendo 64
Gran Turismo; PlayStation
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time; Nintendo 64
Halo: Combat Evolved; Xbox
Half-Life 2; Windows
Halo 3; Xbox 360
The Orange Box; Windows, Xbox 360
Super Mario Galaxy; Wii
Grand Theft Auto IV; PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
LittleBigPlanet; PlayStation 3
Bayonetta; PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Super Mario Galaxy 2; Wii
Rock Band 3; PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword; Wii
Yep, not a great game.
You've convinced me, everyone's a retard that likes it.
Um no. In fact, a lot of the gameplay mechanics of TLOU have carried over to Uncharted 4. Devs said so themselves. You can see it in this demo with the way the player organically weaves between stealth and open combat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow2cL-pp6p8
Again you are ignoring issues and changing to something else. UC's stealth was a let down and tlou can add to it in that area. Doesn't change the fact tlou lacked set pieces and used too many funnel level designs. It has gameplay flaws. Doesn't mean you can't love it but if you can't admit it then it's like talking to a brick wall.

Seriously, keep shit-posting. All hail Rock Band 3, newest entry to the top 10.
anyone here play the order? Is it as bad as people said it was? I just got that and transformers devastation as presents. I've heard good things about tranformers (like a generation 1 tv show and i loved gen 1 as a kid) but haven't heard much beyond the bad reviews for the order. I'm hoping it's like ryse where the reviewers picked it apart but if you actually play the game properly it's still fun.

I've never heard anything good about it.
I really don't know how these guys have the energy. West-Side can clock in posts with ten paragraphs over and over and over, all over this stupid fvcking game.
I kind of just gave up.

Never played the order, but from what I read the gameplay is really short in the story, and underwhelming.
From what I saw it looked pretty interesting though......

Yeah most reviews I saw just went on and on about the length. Seemed like a big let down at the time but I'm hoping it is a decent game now that it's cheap (free in my case)

I can remember seeing trailers for it, it looked cool as far as concept/atmosphere.
