Wilt "I F#cked Your B!tch" Chamberlain
Bill Russell better than Magic? :oldlol:
I vote for Bird. If it's Wilt, I will surrender peacefully. If it's someone ridiculous like Dr. J or Kobe, I will hate you all forever.
Edit: never mind. saw the totals.
You guys this one has been over for a while.

I know. But I still corrected you.
Actually OP discussed in the first thread that one must have 100 posts to have his/her vote counted.
Also said troll accounts will not be counted.
But nothing on time limit, or voting up to a certain count?
No other era since then has had a center nearly as good as Bill Russell. They have been looking for the next Russell now for close to a half century. Will Anthony Davis be the one?
What? What is the point of your post? Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq have all been as good as Bill Russell. They've also all been better than Bill Russell. Bill Russell was not as dominant as those three guys, AND he played before the modern NBA really happened (1970s). Yes, he was a winner, yes, he was a great player. I would certainly rather have him on my team than Kobe or Karl Malone or John Stockton or Dr. J. He can be top 10 all time. But let's not get carried away.

Whatever helps you sleep at night, Chamberlain apostle.
I agree Kuniva, that these Wilt fans just don't get 'it'. (If that is what I think you're trying to say)

They point out pace and rebounding opportunities in the 80's, yet totally ignore competition and rebounding opportunities in the 60's (look at the league average FG% lol).

It's really frustrating. They have the audacity to compare Wilt's stats to the modern greats.

Not really frustrating, just laughably inconsistent. :oldlol: Wilt is one of the all-time greats and would be a legend in any ERA. All I'm asking is we try to keep some perspective here.

Kareem played in the 60's, and in fact played FOUR seasons IN the Wilt-era.
Give me some examples of this from Kareem...
Career 30-30 games:
Aside from Chamberlain, there have been 36 30-30 games in NBA history, and Russell is the leader of that group, with 7 (Bellamy and Thurmond are next with 3 each.)
How about Wilt? 132.
40-30 (or 30-40) games: Other than Wilt, the NBA has had 9 40-30 games, with Baylor being the only player to have 2.
Chamberlain? 73
50-30 games: Pettit and Baylor each with 1
Wilt? 32
60-20 games: Aside from Wilt, there have been four (Baylor with 3 and Shaq with 1)
Chamberlain? 28
60-30 games: Baylor with 1
Wilt? 8
40-40 games: There have been 8 in the history of the NBA, and Chamberlain had all of them.
50-40 games: Obviously, Wilt would be the only player to have ever have accomplsihed that feat, which he did 5 times.
70-30 games: Chamberlain has the only 2, 78-43 and 73-36 (against Bellamy.)
60 point games? Everyone else who has ever played the game... 30.
Wilt? 32.
70+ point games? Everyone else...four.
Wilt? Six.
