Will the Ravens choke this? :lol
nothing like a SNF opener with a classic chokejob :oldlol:
Bills can run the clock out and kick a walk off.
Ravens are serious choke artists.
Tough loss.
They do it every single time. Ravens are the most talented team in the league along with the Eagles, but they always find a way to lose against the other top teams. They should have beat the Bills in the playoffs last season as well. :lol
Week 1 and we likely already saw the game of the year.
I've seen bigger comebacks than that, but the Ravens were dominating them for 3.5 quarters, crazy the offense totally sputtered down the stretch like that.
I would've strongly considered going for that 4th & 3 if I were the Ravens, I had full confidence the Bills were getting into FG range on that final drive. They also should've let them score on that last completion.
If Baltimore goes on 4th and doesn't get it... I think Buffalo would've already been in FG range but I'm not for certain
On a side note, who would have thought Derrick Henry would quietly sneak his way as one of the best RBs ever? Has to be at least top 20 at this point right? Just passed Jim Brown in rushing TDs.
Wow.... there's never been a final NFL score of 41-40.

They would've essentially been in long FG range, but they still would've had 3 timeouts if they failed.
I'm not saying it's an obvious call, but imo your superstar QB is more likely to pick up 3 yards to win the game than your reeling defense, on the road, is keeping the opposing MVP and an offense on a roll, with all the momentum, out of FG range just needing a FG to win the game.
While not exactly the same situation, it reminds me of when Belichick went for it on 4th & 2 deep in his territory against the Colts, he tried to win the game instead of giving the ball back to a red hot Peyton.

Wasn't on the level of this game, but the Steelers-Jets game earlier today was pretty damn great too.
Josh Allen is the MVP already.
I know it's Week 1, but if you look at all the other QB play out there, only one on another stratosphere compared to everyone else Allen.

Another stratosphere to Burrow & Jackson?
Nah :lol

Isn't he like 0-4 vs Mahomes in the playoffs? :lol
Mahomes has lost some steam over the years, hasn't put up the godly numbers like when he first came into the league because the weapons are not there anymore. I love Burrow too, I feel he is a better pocket passer than Allen, but Allen can beat you with his legs. Allen is a freak of nature though, he has the size, insane arm strength, running ability and what separates him from Lamar is his passing ability. I can't see Lamar throwing for 200 yards in a single quarter to complete a comeback like Allen just did, Lamar needs a running game behind him to really shine.
Edit: Allen had 251 passing yards in the 4th. My goodness. :lol
