I highly doubt there are words you feel are "off limits" when it comes to referring to white people, so tell us which words are acceptable to use when referring to black people so that they won't feel as offended.

I would stay away from anything that suggests they are an inferior race. The N-word is a no-brainer but it doesn't have to be word specific. If you simply said white people are better than black people, that is racist, as it pertains to directly to race. Obviously.
If you are around a black person and feel like what you want to say "might" be offensive. You should probably refrain from saying it. And if you just really want to say the N-Word, then honestly something is wrong with you. It isn't that difficult to give them that word even if you think it is unfair, who cares, let them have it. Move onto something that is actually worth your time.
