Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
SVG couldn't get along with Shaq. Now he can't get along with Dwight.
But it's always the players' fault. It can't be him. He is an innocent victim being forced out by these mean basketball players that just won't conform to his style.
That's not entirely fair. We've heard Turkoglu and Anderson speak up for him recently. But regardless what I object to is Howard pretending to be friends with SVG while trying to get him fired. I'm not sold on SVG being a great coach, I'm sold on Dwight Howard being a complete phony.
Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
SVG brother is JVG. All needed to be said is said. You can't be a good person when your brother is a dickhead like that.

Then he can should be the coach of a team full of players of Turkgolu and Anderson's caliber. He should not be leading superstars like Shaq and Dwight.
Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
He's worse than Lebron. The Cavs have an insanely bright post-Lebron future. Any chance in hell the Magic are gonna rebuild that fast after Dwight bolts?
Who knows, they could get lucky like the Cavs. Bottomline is Dwight looks bad right now when all he wanted to do was look :D good. Jokes on him.

Who did Shaq ever get along with?
exactly. shaq is demonstrably a big baby. this is no secret. just listen to him talk on TNT every week. there are probably at least 100 past and present NBA players, coaches, and exec's against whom shaq holds stupid grudges. he talks about pat riley as if he were charles manson or something. dwight hasn't been much better. he's been very immature in how he's gone about this whole trading business. you can't give these clowns the benefit of the doubt.

JVG isn't a dickhead.

It's quite possible that he's a bad fit for NBA superstar egos. Bob Knight specifically said he never went to the NBA because he couldn't deal with a situation where he had less power than his players.
Re: SVG Confirms Howard asked for him to be fired
Seriously, this is very unfair to D12. D12 denied it. That's all there is to it. D12 has been made the scapegoat of everything that happened in Orlando. When it's the GM and medias fault.
Stan Van Gundy said he wanted him Fired!!! Not the media asswipe!!!

Then it's his job to adjust or leave.
I just saw my team go through a stubborn coach, and it's because of him we are fighting for a playoff spot instead of being a top 4 seed. Coaches can without a doubt be the problem.

PJax. As for Dwight's situation, if he really wanted SVG out it'd have happened circa trade deadline. The two just don't click together, Stan is a good coach but it's time for him to step aside.
Re: Stan Van Gundy confirms Dwight Howard asked Magic to fire him
Last year, the Red Sox basically mutinied on Terry Francona, but no one goes around blaming them. In that situation it was the coach's fault.
In the NBA, it's always the player's fault for being a spoiled brat.
