The Bulls can take their second round pick in 2014 and then the other second round pick they got from Cleveland.

And some team in the 18-30 range in the first will look to clear out that pick to make a run at free agency.

This happens almost every single year.

Otherwise, the Bulls can package one or two of their second round picks with Boozer next year (or even this year to Charlotte) to clear out his contract.

So no, it is not an awful post.

I guess it was time to part ways with Deng. I've always liked him as a player, but he is kinda injury prone (missed several playoff games in the last six years) and that will probably become only a bigger problem as he ages.

Butler will play a bigger role now, and Snell will get more PT, so it's all good, especially knowing we got some draft picks for a player that was going to leave in the free agency anyway.

I don't really see how the Cavs got fleeced, 2 of the picks are second rounders and the Sac pick will most probably stay with sac, they brought in a piece in Deng that fills a hole they have. The only real issue here is the Cavs will most probably have to overpay to keep Deng.

No cap relief for the fakers. Shopping Pau for 2+ years because he quit when Kobe stole one of the finals mvp when they were both equally responsible for those two rings and should have shared with one finals mvp each. Good luck trying to bring him back for less money this summer when you gave that chucker 2 years with 24 mil each year...all the while he's not even playing and collecting 30 mil. You don't think Pau sees that?

And there you have it

Deng is severely underrated on ISH. He's a terrific defender, can play 40+ minutes on any given night, is a pretty good and efficient scorer, and he hustles like no other. The Cavs needed someone like him. A stable player who can slide right in. They should be save for the Playoffs and might make noise.

nobody knows what actually gets offered or not in these trade discussions, nobody even really knows if the lakers and cavs were even seriously involved in talks.
