Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
Is there historical evidence of the degeneracy and so forth? Or just a city....
How is your view any different than the islamic extremists (not terrorists, just conservative muslims that are called this in the west) in many countries who are trying to maintain or reestablish governments based upon holy law? If you want to live in a country founded upon religious law, well your up **** creek. The new god is the almighty dollar.
NOT MONEY IN ITSELF
But the love of money is the root of all evil.
Those who sell out for it instead of a true relationship with God is up the creek without a paddle.
Dude what country do you live in and how old are you.
You probably don't even remember sitcoms like the **** van dyke show where married couples mind you slept in seperate beds on tv.
Our country has sunk in moral and ethics so far that countries despise us no with a passion.
Tehy took prayer out of school and pedohiles teachers hasve entered along with gun toting students. Cmon man do you really need more proff.
Re: Amaechi responding to Hardaway's comments tomorrow on Mike & Mike
at least hes honest. at least he is not like other players that only say good things if there in front of the camera.
Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
someone was bound to say that ignorant **** sooner or later, doesnt suprise me, imagine if barkley didnt have his political makeover, think about that.

No, countries despise us because we dominate the gloabl economy and depose those governments (democratic or not) that dont pander to american corporate interests in their neck of the woods. There are some countries that despise us for immorality, but for the most part it is the hatred a big bully gets when they shove everyone else in the playground around if they wont do their bidding.
I loved the **** van dyke show, very good physical comedy. He sucks now though.
. Given where this nation is in their denial of God (removing all discussion on God from schools and the workplace),
Some things are finally moving in the right direction.

You really think that pedophilia and weapons in schools occur because they don't allow mandatory prayer?
You really think that pedophilia and weapons in schools occur because they don't allow mandatory prayer?
thats just the lame response they give when ever prompted..
the real reason immorality has creeped up on us so suddenly is because we as a society only pay lip service to the principles that make for a moral and civil society....
If parents taught/were serious about God & prayer AT HOME, then that example would follw children to school istead of the violence and chaos that follows them into the building today...
Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
It's fairly easy to demonize big systems such as government or public schools while ignoring or inadequately fulfilling responsibilities of parenting and family.
Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
I went to a Catholic school from grade 2 through till 12 ... God in schools doesn't make a lick of difference.
Our school had just as much sex, probably more drugs, and maybe a tad less violence going on than the regular ol' public schools. The whole point of prom night is to get laid (gasp!) even in schools where religion is taught. And we're talking about a pre-dominantly white, upper/middle class school here.
Also you can use the Bible to justify all kinds of bigotry. I know there are Mormons who won't neccessarily come out and say it in public, but they've told me in private that they look down at black people because they see them as the cursed lineage of Kain, and use scripture to back them on that. As I recall slave owners also used the Bible back in the day to justify slavery as well.
Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
I dont understand anti-homosexuality. If someone wants to make love to a man, why couldnt he? Its what he is feeling. If women dont turn him on and men do , then why cant he accept that? What else is he supposed to do,suppress his feelings and end up projecting that suppression to something that could be harmful to society...all in the name of some metaphoric passages that may or may not be written by holy men (and could have been tainted by politics)? The key to a good society is happiness...
I am not an atheist.
Furthermore, why do people shun homosexuality because of the bible , yet are cool with sex before marriage...
its hate because of fear of the unknown... humanity has been guilty of this forever.

Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
What is upseting me about this thread though is how christianity is being brought down so bad in this thread while support for homosexuality seems to keep rising and rising. Im not telling people to bash homosexuals, but don't rip christianity because it doesn't support homosexuals either.

I don't think Christianity itself is necessarily to blame. But Christians (or indeed those of any faith) who use their religion as justification for hatred against a human being are perfectly fair game for bashing.
This is quite amusing: http://satiricalpolitical.com/?p=620.
Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
I apologize if it sounds like I am blesphemizing (is that a word) Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism or any other religion... its just that there has to be an end to using religion as an excuse to hate how someone naturally is. Its almost the same thing as being a holy war suicide bomber.

Re: Tim Hardaway is a homophobe
When did Christianity become the holder of all things moral or immoral? There are multitudes of religions in this world with varying points of views on many subjects... so when was it decided that Christianity was the view we should all follow? I am not bashing Christianity, this is just a question...
