Home and Home off a loss with Quin Snyder as your head coach and the competitiveness of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell and I like the Jazz chances.
1 of 3 anyway. Take away Rudy and I'm still not sure the Jazz don't suck
Bojan Bogdanovic had a monster night. He had 30 points on 6 of 11 from three point shooting. Love the 11 attempts. He was also +38 on the night. He also went to the free throw line 7 times.
would love even more attempts when he's got it going and Mitchell doesn't
Not sure the Jazz can play Dante Exum and Emmanuel Mudiay at the same time
Gee ya think? I'm not sure Exum can play at all :rant
Mike Conley had 8 assists and 0 turnovers. He kept himself out of the problem areas on the floor. He also added 16 points. He had 5 assists in the 4th quarter and he added a huge walk up three. He also
In the end, this was a great redemption game. There were some poor stretches and the Jazz still have some things to work out, but Snyder is trying new things. Dante Exum is back on the floor now1 and Gobert is still a defensive powerhouse, partially responsible for holding Karl-Anthony Towns to just 14 points in Minnesota. The Jazz will be fine and eventually they will be great, if the fan base can wait just a little bit longer.
mostly responsible :wtf:
Looks like Goss did a bit better tonite with the Stars. Probably should have kept him stashed though and signed a proven vet
Gobert proving again he's the MVP of the side. The runs teams are going on without his defensive presence are killing the side at the moment.
Ingles poor shooting needs to turn around too. He's not looking like the same Joe and a 30% rate on 3's isn't gonna cut it. Still got the playmaking ability going, but his shot is off ATM. Things like Ingles/O'Neale combing for 6-8 points a game is not great production ATM.

They certainly need more from them. Gobert is playing too many minutes.
With just over 3 minutes to play, Donovan Mitchell crossed up Minnesota forward Robert Covington, sending him falling to the ground, as the Utah Jazz guard pulled up for a clutch stepback-3. On the box score, the basket was unassisted. But Mitchell credited a fan sitting on the front row at Target Center for helping set up the bucket.
Bojan Bogdanovic, who has been Utah’s most consistent force, was once again extraordinary, finishing with 30 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field and 6-of-11 from deep. Rudy Gobert was solid with 12 points and 15 rebounds while holding Karl-Anthony Towns to just 14 points. Donovan Mitchell once again struggled with efficiency, going just 9-of-24 from the field for his 26 points, but his 5-of-10 three-point shooting was reassuring.

Rudy isn't their most consistent force after almost 5 years of this?

Bogey is tough, man...big and skilled offensively, gets his off the dribble, can create or burn you in catch and shoot....he’s just difficult to guard...the jazz need to use him even more than they are already doing

Mitchell take a back seat? Right! :lol
Meanwhile, Dante Exum continued to look rusty as he went 0-of-1 in his seven minutes of play which produced a plus/minus of minus-16. Georges Niang was ineffective and Jeff Green was streaky. In short, once again when reserves were depended on, they failed to rise to the occasion.
how can you tell Exum looks rusty? Looks like the same crappy player he's always been to me Imagine what that 9 million a year could do to to the bench:rant
After all, they are relying on two guys on minimum contracts in Jeff Green and Emmanuel Mudiay to step up and play significant roles. Beyond those two, there’s Dante Exum who has a long way to go to get comfortable once again post-injury, Joe Ingles, who has been off all year long, and then a slew of inconsistent or unproven guys that round out the bench.
Green and Mudiay have both shown the ability to put points up off the bench in the past. 26 or something a game between them last year. Exum has never proven anything other than he sucks. Joe's play is worrisome as is Niang's actually. The fact that Kidd is still on the team is a joke though
So unless the Jazz decide to dip into the shallow free agent market or pull off an unbelievable trade, I’m not so sure what they’re going to do other than hope that the current guys can continue to improve and assimilate, and that Ed Davis can return quickly and leave a dramatic mark.
they have COTY and the Wizard and there is nothing they can do?

Now, as Golden State heads to Utah for the final game of its road trip, the Dubs have their fingers crossed that Green will be able to play against the Jazz on Friday.
