every player on okc played like dogshit outside of caruso so they have a lot of room to improve I still think okc has a HUGE advantage here

3 days between games 1 and 2 after a week off.
I hate Adam Silver with every inch of my being.
I missed this game because the NBA sucks at telling europeans when games are actually happening, but damn am I happy that Pacers won.
Pacers are the people's champion and they definitely need to beat Shai and goon floppers.
You miss a lot of games but sure do have strong opinions on the game and its players.
Game 1 was the least watched game 1 of an nba finals ever. Nothing wrong with the long layoff tho. Just blame small market teams solely…
Meanwhile we wait another day for game 2 in the same city. I know I know players are tired. No big deal. Bunch of idiots running these leagues.

The first two games of the Finals have been Thursday, Sunday since 2005. Long before Silver took over. Just saying.

Players being tired has nothing to do with it. The league decided long ago that Thursdays & Sundays are the best nights for viewership. To get the most out of those two days, the schedule used to be:
Game 1 Thursday
Game 2 Sunday
Game 3 Tuesday
Game 4 Thursday
Game 5 Sunday
Game 6 Tuesday
Game 7 Thursday
In 2014, that changed a little bit. The league conceded it wasn't fair to have 2 days between same-site games and only 1 day between travel games, so they just made it 2 days between all games. Now it's:
Game 1 Thursday
Game 2 Sunday
Game 3 Wednesday
Game 4 Friday
Game 5 Monday
Game 6 Thursday
Game 7 Sunday

I’m poking fun at the fans who seem to think the layoff is good for rest. And rest means no injuries. And so on and so forth.

Yes which is why I said "after a week off". The whole hype train died before game 1 and now its stuttering between 1 & 2. No wonder the ratings are all time low.
I’ve never understood why “real fans” of “the sport” give a shit so much about ratings?
It’s not like if the ratings are through the roof you get a prize as a fan. Lmao.
Does the NBA give the viewer less ads if the ratings are good? NO!!!!
So just stfu about ratings already. I’ve been hearing about this ratings shit for 30 plus years now.
Remember when the Knicks / Rockets finals supposedly had low ratings, hockey was taking over, and the NBA was screwed because Jordan retired? This low ratings narrative has been around forever.

Ratings affect every aspect of the league. They give a general idea of the interest about the NBA from the wider public.
The NBA Cup exists because of low ratings, the scheduling is what it is because of ratings. The Xmas games are decided on the basis of which matchups people will tune in to watch the most. Etc etc etc.
You dont have to be interested but some people are. "Real fans" are aware of how important ratings are. This is entertainment and a business.
Just put 300 on the Pacers to win this series

Why didn’t you do it before series started? Would’ve got much better payout.
2 or 3 days max would have been sufficient to start the finals, a week and it really lost the buzz
3 days between games is stupid. On top of that the ESPN broadcast quality is dog shit aswel. The league spent all that effort on the garbage cup with courts etc and the product for the finals is absolute nothing..:facepalm
will we get game 7 before the next presidential election? find out

There is no buzz for this Finals.
America does not care.
