Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
I don't think Aaron Gordon is anyone to get excited about. He's a 6'8'' power forward. I'd be surprised if he ended up being anything close to a star. There's a chance he falls out of the lottery.
The obvious top 5:
1) Wiggins
2) Parker
3) Randle
4) Exum
5) Smart
Not sure about the order.
there's no way in hell Gordon falls out of the lottery
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
Can't wait til the 2014 draft. Wiggins, Parker and Randle!
I can. I know that it is early in these young men's college careers. But I hope that they get at least two years of college experience under their belts before jumping to the NBA. Too much hype.
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
This is what people need to realize. It's not all about Wiggins. He may not even end up being the best player in this draft class. Assuming that everyone declares, there are going to be multiple perennial All-Star types in this draft. It's a perfect year to tank and any team who gets a top 5 pick should be thrilled. Even if you get unlucky in the lottery.
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
I think that as of right now, Parker is better than Wiggins. He's more skilled and has a higher basketball iq than Wiggins.
They play Tuesday so we'll get a good sense of where they stand EARLY in the season.
Don't forget that the last time Wiggins and Parker faced each other Wiggins definitely got the better of the match up.
I hope the Suns can somehow get him
Yes sir

I don't think he does, but I think there is a chance. Teams tend to shy away from taking 6'8'' power forwards in the lottery unless they think there's a chance they can move to SF. Gordon has a decent shot so he might be able to play some SF, but I think he's best used as a power forward.
I think he WILL go in the lottery, but I don't think he's the top 5 pick some think he will be. 8-12 is much more likely.
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
Parker reminds me of Melo, except even less athletic. He'll probably be good in the NBA, but Derrick Rose good, not superstar good.
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
Too bad Julius Randle is gonna be better than him and Wiggins
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
For you basketball lovers, on Tuesday November 12 the top 2 projected picks in this upcoming draft face of when Kansas visits Duke.
Wiggins

ASU fan eh? Gordon is physically ready for the NBA, and super-athletic. As he matures as a basketball player, his outside game will grow. I will agree that while he is physically ready for the NBA right now, Wiggins, Parker, and Randle all have better NBA skill-sets.
He is definitely someone to get excited about and could easily go in the top 5. Nothing wrong with the list you have, but I could argue that Gordon belongs on it.
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
I wish we could just enjoy all these players, rather than having a year long argument over who is better. The college game got a influx of super talented guys this year and it's going to be pretty exciting. FYI, the reason why Parker's hype subsided last year, was due to an injury. Nothing else.

Yet 6'7" PF, Anthony Bennett, went #1 in this years draft :lol
Re: Why no hype for Jabari Parker?
The kid is very talented. He's gonna be the best player in his draft class, and in 7-8 years the best player in the NBA. Parker already have an NBA body. He weighed in at 241 lbs and measured at 6'8" in his shoes.

If Paul Pierce is considered the best player in the NBA, all is lost.

I heard that he was being compared to Pierce and Melo. But I really like his game, and he has been playing better than Wiggins.
