Why exactly does NY have no shot against Miami?

For the Knicks to remotely have a chance against the Heat:

1) Cut down on turnovers
2) Amare/Tyson/Melo needs to dominate the inside, offensively and defensively
3) Out-board the Heat

If they start running and gunning with the Heat, while it maybe fun to watch, they will get kill. Slow the game down, Melo and Amare needs to work the post game and Chandler needs to get away from foul trouble and provide the dominate inside presence defensively.

I think the Knicks can get their points against the Heat, the problem is can they prevent the Heat to go on strings of 10-0, 16-4, etc. runs during the game? Can they prevent Lebron from scoring 10-15 points in a row in the 3rd and 4th quarter?

Amare needs to dominate Bosh, and you will need Shumpert, Novak, and even Davis to provide offensive sparks in case Melo is in a shooting funk.

A lot to ask, but its not impossible. Key thing is, if the games are close, can the Knicks get the defensive stops, and give Melo a chance to be the clutch performer that many people expect out of him.

Same problem as last year, and they reached the finals. Not saying the knicks have 0% but they pretty much have to shoot their lights out every game to beat the heat in a 7 game series.

Plus, miami don't really need all 3 to turn it on, just lebron and one of the other.

just limit the turnovers and rebound the ball.

Knicks have a good shot if they do those 2 things.

Because Knicks already play better against Bulls while they have no chance against Miami. And this is not even playoffs Miami, its just regular season Miami. We all saw how Miami went up a few levels when the playoffs started. I'm not sure that Chicago has another level in them.

And then there is also the fact that Miami have Lebron, Wade and Bosh in a best of 7 series while Bulls don't have 3 superstars.

Heat lost home court and split the series against the Bulls that played 2\3 of the season without their best player.

Yes Heat last year beat the Bulls 4-1, but scored only 11 more points in that series. Heat didn't improved a bit. Bulls improved a lot, CJ best season ever playing less 4 minutes than his previous season, Taj is better, Asik is better, Noah "Triple Double" is better, Rip isn't the only improvement.

That's hilarious, because the team that showed more effort against the Knicks this season was by far the Heat in their first meeting. And just a few days ago Wade rested before and after the Knicks game :lol

The hell? New level? Lebron is averging almost 30 points, the entire team is averging almost 50% FG. What new level? The only thing I saw last year was Lebron getting lucky and hitting his heavily contested hail marys which made the difference.

And no, Knicks play against the Heat a lot better than the Bulls. Like someone said, if they rebound, and limit turnovers, they have a great shot.
And @d21221hk, the difference this year is that Melo is playing the best basketball he's ever played as a Knick. So expecting things to play out exactly like last year is wrong. If that was the case, Mavs would be the biggest threat in the league.
