Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
I like to rank CHI below SAS
SAS is a class franchise with winning tradition.
CHI is a PATHETIC franchise that deliberately destroyed 7th ring chances.
SAS cares about their all-timers be it Duncan, D'rob etc etc.
CHI is a selfish, hate filled franchise that dont want their all-timers anywhere close to franchise's success.
Both franchises may have 100% winning record in NBA finals
BUT
SAS is just better franchise overall.
No superstar for long time ever wanted to play for CHI after 1998 especially if you are Kevin Garnett or T-mac.
LMAO. The Bulls franchise is the biggest reason why kids in Czechoslovakia and Ethiopia even know what basketball is. :facepalm
Thanks MJ.
Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
Did this kid really put Miami in the Top 5 GOAT franchises?
:facepalm
Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
Is Miami at least in the top 10? Assuming they win this year, 3 titles and 4 EC titles. That's got to be up there.

All within seven years too.
Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
1. Lakers
2. Celtics
3. Bulls
4. Knicks
5. Spurs
6. Pistons
7. 76ers
8. Warriors
9. Rockets
10. Heat
I did mine based on a combo of all-time and contemporary prestige and hardware (only reason Knicks are so high...they're the New York Knickerbockers).

so wen it comes to lebron losing in the finals counts against him but lakers choking in finals counts for them?
Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
Heat > Bulls. Owned them in 2011 and owning them this year too. Other than Jordan Bulls history is terrible. Heat have been an elite NBA franchise apart from their first few years as an expansion team.

Try again kid.
MJ is the only reason why they know what basketball is.
Nobody gives a **** about the Bulls as a franchise though. They just rode one player and were irrelevant for the other 40 years.
Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
Celtics vs Lakers.... 17 titles to 16.
Lakers have had much more success in the past 30 years. 80's - 5 titles to 3. 2000-present - 5 titles to 1.
Finals series - Boston 9-3 vs Lakers (9 of the Celtics' 17 titles came in the expense of the Lakers)
It's very very close. I say Boston #1a and Lakers #1b.
The Celtics 9-3 record against the Lakers is actually an advantage for the Lakers and makes the Lakers the GOAT Franchise. Here is why, 9-3 Celtics in the Finals means that the Lakers won 13 of their Titles when Boston did not even win their conference, while Boston won 9 of their Titles while the Lakers won their conference.

10 more Finals appearances is a huge difference though. 10 years, that is an entire decades worth.

Just gonna point out that Czechoslovakia isn't a country anymore and that modern Czechs and Slovaks aren't exactly living without electricity, cars, etc.
And basketball was already growing worldwide. Guys like Olajuwon, Kukoc, Divac, Petrovic, Sabonis, Bol all played basketball before Jordan's domination of the league.
Re: Top 10 NBA Franchises all-time
Bobcats >>>> All Team
Worst record of all time, worst GM, worst owner, GOAT 3rd pick (Ammo)
All of that in just 8 years in the league..

I agree but consistent standards have to be maintained when doing an evaluation. one criteria cant not be applied in one case and neglected in another
