Re: The 2013-14 Nets are NOT the 2012-13 Lakers. NOT AT ALL.
The Nets are going to have great floor spacing with all the shooting on the floor.
Deron Williams: 3-point threat
Joe Johnson: 3-point threat
Paul Pierce: 3-point threat
KG: mid-range threat
Deron can break down the defense and kick out to shooters. The Nets should be really good assuming they stay healthy.
2) Steve Nash was injured on and off during the entire year.
KG and Pierce can't get injured on and off all year? They're both one small injury from retiring.
Re: The 2013-14 Nets are NOT the 2012-13 Lakers. NOT AT ALL.
I'm liking the Nets transition offense. Fast break points everywhere.
Re: The 2013-14 Nets are NOT the 2012-13 Lakers. NOT AT ALL.
Also lets not forget that the Lakers were 28-12 after starting 17-25. The four games sweep by the Spurs was frustrating for them, but its still unwise to take away the credits they deserve for the last half of the season.

Their Half-court game is gonna be amazing though
that was slightly after all-star break where he went into magic mode. what about the first half of the season?:facepalm
What about it? He had a better first half than second half this season.

Geez, imagine opposing coaches during the scouting report. What do you do? you can't double. i cannot wait until the season starts.
Re: The 2013-14 Nets are NOT the 2012-13 Lakers. NOT AT ALL.
Deron Williams > Nash. Nash is small and old, and I think overrated all time. He was great on Phoenix where the offense was entirely catered to his strengths, but he never played on that level anywhere else.
Joe Johnson > Kobe. He is a better shooter than Kobe and better at playing off ball. Hopefully BRK features Lopez more as the primary scorer so that Johnson doesn't have to create for his own. Also younger
Paul Pierce > Metta World Peace. lol
KG > Gasol. At least in how Gasol was used. KG was still a top ten player in the NBA last year. Hopefully he can conserve himself now that there are 5 high profile players on the team.
Lopez < Dwight. Dwight is way better, but Lopez is really good offensively.
Other than the bigmen, this BRK team is way better in the backcourt. And their bigmen are pretty good to start with too with KG/Lopez.
I predict them losing in the 2nd round, much better than the 7th seed first round sweep for LA.

Biggest problem is brook lopez is also more comfortable shooting 15 or so feet away than banging down low in the paint. On a lot of his post ups he gets pushed out and ends up starting 15+ feet from the hoop.
They're going to be very crowded on the perimeter with little inside presence
Re: The 2013-14 Nets are NOT the 2012-13 Lakers. NOT AT ALL.
5 ball hogs and 1 basketball. enough said.
Deron Williams is a point guard. Not sure if I would call him a point guard.
With D Will at point Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce will feed off of one another coming off of the wings.
Brook Lopez and Kevin Garnett will be asked to play back to basket every now and then but for the most part just play solid D and rebound the basket.
Jason Terry off the bench has another shot at winning 6th man of the year........ okay maybe not, but he's still a damn good 6th man. I expect them to it to the second round at worst. And I think they get all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals and play against Indiana/Miami depending on how the rest of the teams do.

On offense once Deron/Johnson/Pierce penetrates, KG/Lopez should come running from the weakside or crashing into the lane for an easy layup or close up shot.
This team should see a lot of open looks/jumpshots but if those don't fall they should be able to score points in the paint easily with the way this team Is put together.

Did you actually watch games?!?! Lopez took less than 100 mid-range jumpers the ENTIRE season. Lopez was allways in the paint and KG can get in the paint too. No inside presence?:lol

This Nets team transition D is going to flat out suck. They have no athletes.
