OP, which players or coaches' books would you recommend?
I have ArbitraryWater this list on another thread:
Sure thing. I'd recommend (to start):
Tall Tales and Loose Balls (Terry Pluto)
Go Up For Glory and Second Wind (Russell's first two autobiographies)
The Jordan Rules
Breaks of the Game
When the Game was Ours (Magic/Bird book)
West by West
Season of the 76ers
The Last Season
Kareem's first autobiography
Wilt's books are fun reads, though I've ohh read his 73 autobiography completely
The Big O
The Last Banner
I've read a few others as well, but these stand out the most. Check them out if their synopses interest you, they're pretty good IMO.
Russell's two books are my favorites.
Giant steps is a reference to John Coltrane :pimp:
Incredible excerpts!
I can't stand Kareem.

Do you have a link to that talk? You'd be surprised how many similar responsibilities a jazz quintet have that a basketball team also has. I'm a jazz musician, so I'd love to read what he says
