When is the last time a team more than +2000 won the title?
Just playing around with the bets and throwing random amounts of money in there...
If you bet $500...
on OKC to beat Cleveland in the finals, you would win $550.
on Chicago to beat LAC in the finals, you would win $25,000.
on Houston to beat Washington in the finals, you would win $151,500.
on Dallas to beat Charlotte in the finals, you would win $532,500.

Dallas was +875 the year they won ($500 bet would win you $4,375).
SAS were listed at +1000 last season.
To answer your question, probably never.
But... UCONN was +6000 to win the NCAA championship last season.
Currently have bulls at 9-1 100 dollars to win 900
OKC at 6.50 20 dollars to win 130
And warriors at 26-1 10 dollars to win 260
Total outlay 130 dollars

That Dallas v Charlotte bet is a slight chance..
What about bulls to beat warriors? What does that pay?

$500 bet wins you $54,750. In a parlay obviously which would be the only way to play that. $100 would win you $10,950.
Bulls +750 to win the title, Warriors +1200 to win the west.

For $500 to throwaway, either one of those scenarios are worth the risk.
What would Charlotte or Washington winning it pay out by?
I wouldn't bet on a team that has no chance to win a ring..no matter what the odds were. The Mavs aren't winning shit this year, unless LeBron, Durant, Duncan and CP3 all go down with year endin injuries.

Washington is +4000 to win (same as Dallas), but if you were to bet on Charlotte winning over Dallas, your payout would be $149,000 for every $100 bet.
But let's be honest...

Someone bet on Auburn to win the BCS championship last year, at +50,000.
He had a chance to hedge his bet when Auburn was facing off against FSU (essentially guaranteeing himself at least $30,000 in winnings) but wouldn't bet against his Tigers.
So instead he lost it all. He's got more balls than brains I guess.
