:facepalm
6th in defensive efficiency, with THAT roster. That's what he did.
And if you're going to discount what he accomplished with LeBron, make sure you discount anything a coach has ever done with a great player. Ever.
Ignoramus.

Re: Why is Spo not considered a GOAT coach?
Spo is obviously a very good coach and is extremely well respected among his peers. That being said it's far too early to put him in the ranks of the all time greats. He may get there, as he can write his own ticket at this point and will be in the league for many years, but he's still developing.

Spo obviously isn't some GOAT, but you just got ethered. :facepalm

Great coaches don't get absolutely obliterated in the finals.

What about coaches who get obliterated in the second round? Was Popovich not a great coach when his team got swept by Alvin Genry's Suns?

Um, Phil Jackson? Pat Riley? Both have been obliterated in the finals.

So the past 6 years don't count, including the 2 before the "big 3" in which he did and admirable job? I'll trust the opinion of other coaches, both current and former, who ALL think very highly of Spo.

Not to mention his current employer, who is a Hall of Fame coach himself.
Pat Riley thinks Spo is a good coach. And he possesses more acumen for coaching basketball, in his pinky finger, than your typical ISHiot like DukeDelonte13 does in their entire bodies.
I wonder who's opinion I should trust more? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Re: Why is Spo not considered a GOAT coach?
Spo is criminally underrated. Yeah he's not the best, but he isnt the garbage you guys try to claim he is.
