Re: NSA shared surveillance data with Isreal to compromise Palestinians
Alright.. I'll bite.
I don't hate Jews, Muslims, Christians, Mormans, Atheists, Buddhists, Scientologists (I'm still a fan of Tom Cruise's movies).. etc etc. I don't judge an entire religion/culture based on a few extremists, lunatic, war loving, agenda pushing a****les.
Religion, ethnicity and all that jazz are really inconsequential to me at least.. we are human beings first and foremost. Unfortunately, (bad) people play these subtle differences against one another to divide and ultimately conquer.
You pretty much knew my stance already I'll bet.. But you just want to get a response/troll me with that ridiculous question.
This is an opinion I share with you.
I don't hate all Muslims. Most are good people. I do question the idealogy though, as there is no denying that it is inspiring a lot of violent extremists in the past 50 years or so. I dont hate or look down on religious people, but some religions like Mormonism I think are bizarre.
An agency went rogue... It's gonna make for a good thriller someday. At this day, we are in that movie.
I wonder how many people (Apart from you) in this thread actually looked at the timeline. Most of the spying going on in that article wasn't anything to do with terrorism.
Re: NSA shared surveillance data with Isreal to compromise Palestinians
Also I missed the part where they bug hardware so they can spy even if it doesn't have connection to the internet.
It's just sooo crazy. This is Stalin's dream.
Re: NSA shared surveillance data with Isreal to compromise Palestinians
So what are "targets" like say, the U.N. or foreign embassies, doing to put a stop to the nsa surveillance through official channels? Everybody has to answer to somebody and if their bosses have access to nsa bosses then bam! game over. The powers that be in the nsa are ordered to shut down certain programs cold turkey. Politics can ruin it all for them just like anything else. I'd like to hear what the big dogs are saying particularly if they oppose what the leaks have discovered.

That's a good question to ask, and why couldn't it be that world leaders think the surveillance is unavoidable, so just stay silent for now. The gap in technological capabilities and funds (note US military spending) is Grand Canyon, few can really try to stand up to US dominance there. War right now as well might be about social networks, public opinion and hacking.
If you get all the data in the world everywhere all the time, you pretty much control the world. The precendence has been set, the security has been compromised, now just make sure you're on a right boat.
Hopefully not.
