Like I said, Houston dominated this series recently until this season, where Golden State swept. Clearly they are much improved. They are far and away the best team right now. Parsons and Lin wouldn't change that.
It is what it is.
If the Rockets had (a much improved) Harden, Parsons, Lin and some vets
The chemistry would be off the charts
The team meshed great last year

Parsons hasn't improved. Lin, which I didn't think was possible, got a lot worse. I think we're better off without them.

Asik was butt hurt he didn't start so he pretended he was injured and sat out half the season.
Lin bitched that McHale and Harden were picking on him during games.
Parsons thought he was better than he was.
It was Dwight's first season, and Jones and Beverleys first season as starters.
What part of that is 'meshy' to you?

Um... Every week it was something else.
Granted I think he was considered the 'outsider' to the rest of the team and probably wasn't considered part of the crew, but he was always bitching. You could see him bitch when Harden or Dwight yelled at him on the court.
I always liked Lin and hoped he would have had some success in LA but, whatever.
I think a lot of it had to do with Beverley taking his starting spot thanks to Harden.

Find me one quote or source of Lin bitching. Dude is a great teammate and even though he didn't fit with the team there was no hints or rumors of chemistry issues with anyone.
The real issue is Mchale. The Rockets aren't going anywhere with Mchale as their coach. It's just that simple.

What team did you watch last year? Clearly Harden and Lin did not gel. It was obvious when Harden ignored his plays. Beverley and Lin didn't get along either for obvious reasons.
McHale blamed Lin for a lot of things, which was probably more McHale sucking than Lin.
Then he got upset the rockets used his #7 jersey to recruit Melo. He had every right to be upset, but I don't think it was done on accident.

What you just said is a FAR CRY from "Lin was bitching every week".
Quit making Lin out to be some disgruntled teammate. He is a lot of things. A bad teammate/locker room guy is not one of them.
