Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
That doesn't make it any better, this guy is an imbecile either way
It does in the eyes of the law.
Intent is a big deal. Ask Clinton.
As far as his job is concerned, it doesnt. He's going to get fired and he's going to be prosecuted. His charges will depend on his intent.
Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
i dont get it. you need video evidence of the shooting part and not the persons testimony and some corroborated video evidence, but you want to believe in falacies like the cop was a rookie and let off an unintended round. im not saying thats a bad theory, but your process of logic is totally biased.
All I said was I wanted to see what happened before the shoot, and you came up with all that from that sentence. I also said that's most likely what happened (which doesn't exonerate him but you don't care about that because your screaming with emotion through your PC), the two sentences have nothing to do with one another.
I believe your logic is totally biased.
We saw video and 'witness testimony' during the Michael Brown case. I guess you forgot how that turned out.
I apologize for thinking like a lawyer. I should think more like an emotionally unstable child.

That's why this whole police epidemic is happening, people want to believe in the "spirit of the law" and accountability more.

There's only a police epidemic because the news told you there was. If an epidemic is defined as a .000001% chance of something occurring, then you're on the money.

So they want cops to not be part of a union?
Best I could make out of this:
where we are demanding that police give us freedom

I don't know, I didn't see what happened before that point. Looks like the cop messed up?
I tell you one thing though, that dude is gonna get a fat settlement. I'm jelly. I'd take one in the leg for that.
Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
I didn't see him get shot in the video I watched. Is it in the OP?
It's pretty ****ing important to see the whole incident, and not just the aftermath. Like trying to solve a crime looking at CCTV footage that only shows a half destroyed liquor store and not the robbery in progress.
Obviously, something happened that caused an officer to draw his gun.
They already had guns thrown
Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
Miami is a different animal all together.
Lawsuit time. Miami has crooked officials left and right. Sue the city. Get rich or die trying.
Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
Cool strawman ***...
My guess, it was a rookie or recently appointed officer, who had his finger on the trigger cause he wasn't trained correctly, and shot off a negligent discharge. Probably had a Glock with no safety.
In the Marines, if you're a hot chick, shit like this gets swept under the rug.
The officer fired 3 shots at the guy and one hit him in the leg.
Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
The officer fired 3 shots at the guy and one hit him in the leg.
So he's a shitty cop, as well as a shitty shot.
The only thing that matters in the grand scheme of things is:
#CharlesKinsey asked police: "Sir, why did you shoot me?" The response, he says: "I don't know."
Because during an investigation of a shooting, the DA will attempt to frame their state of mind at the time the trigger was pulled.
If the cop did, in fact, say 'I don't know' when asked why he shot the man, then he's likely going to jail for a long time.
Which is what I said in my first post in this thread.
Re: Cop shoots man trying to protect artistic kid
So they want cops to not be part of a union?
Best I could make out of this:
Anti-union isn't a Democrat policy, its a Republican one.
I agree, get rid of all the unions.
That still doesn't validate the notion that there's an 'epidemic' of criminal behavior by cops. I'm sure they do want change, but only at the expense of cops, because you and I both know if they were really concerned about change in their communities, there's plenty of better places to start.
They're not concerned about their community anymore than Clinton is concerned about the well being of blacks in this country; they care, but there's another motive behind it. They just want to protest to get that feeling of 'belonging' to a group. It's the herd mentality. No different than the OWS group full of misfits and rejects who banded together to protest because they've got nothing better to do.
Unions need reform, that much is clear. They protect the cops a bit too much imo. Agreed, protest is still within their right to do so tho as long as its within their 1st amendment scope.
That's going a bit too far, but I see your point. There's always the bleeding hearts and actual good citizens who want to better their community, they think this is a way to do that. Then there's the people, as you explained, that don't gaf about anything but themselves and won't admit it because they're insecure af.
