Thats a "solution" like abstinence is the solution to teen pregnancy. ITs totally unrealistic so not worth talking about. There will never be a hard cap in the NBA without a lockout so long owners lose billions on the next tv deal and they care more about that than Portland winning a title.

Changing draft rules is actually realistic...and happening right now. Draft rule talk is about an issue with a realistic non fairy tale solution.

The whole hard cap thing is just a bunch of nothing.

Imagine another situation where a team that has a superstar and competes for 10 years, star leaves/retires and they predictably stink the next couple of years and win the lottery and get the #1 pick, turns out to be another generational star. Basically Cleveland's situation with LeBron leaving again.

Almost like when the Spurs lucked into Robinson/Duncan.
