Not going to explain something really basic. There's a tradition to invite title winning teams. Trump was reticent because he was afraid of being publically rejected. As he was by the Warriors. While he does that, a Canadian team says they have no interest in going.
That's a pre-emptive decline.

Whatever makes you feel better. Melting down over the prospect of more people declining meeting an imbecile of a president is just weird.
There would have to be a lot of Tim Horton's, A&W, Ketchup Chips, and KD instead of the usual big macs and mcchickens.

Not when the tradition ceased after 2016. That's the last time a team went to the white house. While pre-emptive declines exist, it's a bush league move because you open yourself up for embarrassment.
It's like that asshole that calls up and says "ya, I'm not going to make your party" knowing damn well that he wasn't going to be invited in the first place. This situation with Green and the raps is no different.
if there was a black man in office it would be a "hard yes"
tired of this closet racism in this country, it's gotten so bitterly bad in this country pretty much since obama got in office and started baiting everyone and everything
It has nothing to do with him being white. It has to do with it being Donald Trump.

Why do you think it "ceased"? Because everyone was going to decline. Because the incumbent president is an imbecile whom nobody respects.
"Bush league"." Asshole" . Sounds like venting from a guy who cant accept that most people think Trump is a brainless idiot.

Not sure why you are arguing with him about it. Anyone that supports Trump is stupid and/or racist.

The irony is that several of these have attempted to portray ths Raptor players as racist. You cant make this stuff up.
Black men who dont want to visit a bona fide racist are now being attacked.

rich black men that don't support republicans!

All of this is smoke and mirrors.
Winning a ring for throwing a ball through a hoop along with winning the world series or the super bowl are acceptable criteria for getting an invitation to meet the president of the US, but someone who saves a life that makes national news isn't worthy of an invite. Apparently winning in sports is more important than a life/lives being saved.:oldlol:
Shouldn't they go to Trudeau?
