Re: Lebron is the only player who's the GOAT at multiple positions
Wtf is this nonsense. Lebron has always mainly played the pg position. Duncan was way better in the pf position and kd is way better in the sf position. Magic is a much better pure pg also. What makes lebron so valuable is he's great at everything he's just not the best anything. He's the master jack of all trades basically.
If you had to create the best team to win 1 million and you had to pick the best players in each position, you would not pick Duncan ahead of Lebron at the 4(if PF was the only position you could pick Lebron). Same thing applies for PG or SF.
You'd be lying if you said no.
Re: Lebron is the only player who's the GOAT at multiple positions
He was a PG this year but basically a SF every year prior to this year, other than playing some PF alongside Bosh in smaller lineups.
LeBron has led the league in scoring and in assists. He has outrebounded AD, Love, and Bosh for entire playoff runs. He has anchored many strong defenses while consistently piloting elite offenses. It looks like he is great at a lot of things. You make it sound like he is Lamar Odom.
If you read again you'll see i said he's great at everything. He's just not usually the best at any one thing. And i dont argue with any of your points but the title in tbe thread was goat. Theres a difference between being great and the goat at something.
And bron has always basically been pg. The only exception was in miami where that role was shared more evenly. Every other year he's basically been a point gaurd.

If i wanted to win? I would chose duncan as a 4 over lebron. Bron cant defend the elite 4's in the league and duncan is one of the best defenders ever at that position. Duncan is easily a better pf than bron. Bron is just a better overall player. If i had to chose one or the other in general id take bron.

As if Duncan would be able to defend Lebron? A team playing with two big men at 4 and 5 would get run out of the floor by a team with Lebron at the 4.
Again, if Lebron or Duncan were only available for you at the 4, there is no way in hell anybody decides to leave Lebron out for Duncan.

No he wouldn't but thats not the issue. can he gaurd elite power forwards because thats what he'd have to do. Again bron is the better player but he would not be a better pf than duncan. Your not thinking about this in the right way. Bron is usually used in many different ways. Most of the time because thats what his systems call for. On a team with a great pg that can pass and a great 2 shooting gaurd that can score scorer and a great center that can rebound defenend and score some you dont need a pf that can do the things bron can do because everything is already covered. You primarily need a pf that can defend the other pf and rebound and score some efficiently.
Brons dominance is heavily relied on him having the ball in his hands and creating plays. With a say magic johnson on his team the ball wouldn't be in his hands as much. In this scenario he'd be a pf and have to score primarily in the post or move off ball and get the ball on tbe perimeter more. Niether is his strength tbh. He'd obviously still be great but he wouldn't fit the pf position better than tim duncan. Not even close.
Re: Lebron is the only player who's the GOAT at multiple positions
LeBron at point guard is a literal cheat code
He's 6'9, can defend 1-5, can score, rebound do absolutely everything on the basketball court
His versatility and ability to do literally everything at an elite level is a good argument for why he's the GOAT

He's not a better a point gaurd than magic and he cant gaurd 1-5. Try again:facepalm

In his Miami days he could defend 1-5.

Maybe against a team with trash pf and centers. Bron could never gaurd the elite pf and centers. Still one of the greatest defenders ever though when he's engaged.

That's why I specifically said Miami LeBron could guard 1-5, that clip was from 2007

It was only a joke dude relax. And yes miami bron was as good of a defender as anyone. He couldn't consistently gaurd centers or even most power fowards though. If he cluld he would of gaurded duncan instead of green, manu and diaw.
