Re: California's Population Exodus is Intensifying
For the first time ever there are more people leaving Cali than moving in, the state lost a seat in congress because of it.
I have family in the bay area and have been regularly visiting since the 80s, and while there have always been homeless the situation now is borderline apocalyptic. Massive tent cities under almost every highway overpass, piles of trash and human turds littering the sidewalks in the dense urban centers, 50% chance of a smashed car window if you park in SF/Oakland/Berkeley for an hour or two... shit is fvcked.
And yeah, no doubt some places get nicer and some go to shit. I live in Portland, which got pretty damn nice from 2000ish-2015ish but has recently been going to shit (for many of the same reasons) ... but Portland feels like switzerland compared to the bay area these days.
70’s and 80’s were grimier. Crack, gangs, Reaganomics. They’ve cleaned up a lot of the areas that were straight hood. I don’t buy that we are way worse, or it’s more apocalyptic now.
People leave Cali because of the cost of living not because they are tripping on homeless people or shit on the sidewalks. Lol.

I wasnt around for the 70s, but right now is definitely the most apocalyptic I have seen in my lifetime. The tent situation has never been remotely comparable to what it is right now, same can be said for the petty crime, street shitting, and other homeless related issues destroying the area.
If cost of living alone was the reason for leaving Cali, the exodus would have started a long time ago. Anyway its not like cost of living and homelessness are disconnected issues, and who can blame folks who dont want to spend absurd amounts of money to live in a city where zombies are staggering around on all the main streets, and the sidewalks are covered in turds

I’ve lived in Cali my whole life and I’ve never seen shit on the sidewalk. Lol. You’re on some redneck let’s diss Cali with that propaganda bullshit. Are some places dirty? Yes. But the whole state? Get the **** outta here.
The tents and homeless encampments have always been there. Like I said some places get better and some get worse.

Nobody who is actually from California calls the state "Cali"... thats like calling SF "Frisco". You sound like a retarded foreigner, like me.
Anyway you arent the only person on this site who has lived in "Cali", I lived in the bay area for several years and I have spent time in the bay every single year for 3+ decades. While the state has always been dirty and crowded, youre a goddan liar or utterly clueless if you are trying to pretend the current situation is comparable to decades in the past.
The tents and homeless encampments have never been remotely close to what they are right now. You are right that some places get better and some get worse, and your place is undoubtedly getting worse (as a Portland resident mine is too)

Cali is gonna be alright because like I said this isn’t anything we haven’t seen before. Shit the Sco during the 60’s had a hundred thousand homeless kids at one point.
Re: California's Population Exodus is Intensifying
Cali is shite dude and getting worse, deal with it. People are leaving by the droves, this is undisputable fact.
Why any sane person would want to live there is beyond me.

But if I lived in a shithole like Kentucky or Alabama I may rather be homeless in California.
All my family and friends living there who do well love it. Irving is still beautiful. And year round perfect weather. Can't beat it.

The cost of living is what makes this place suck. All the other negative crap is way overhyped. Everywhere has societal ills like homelessness and griminess. California is just so big that it can be amplified in certain urban centers. San Francisco, Venice, Hollywood, Berkeley, Oakland, San Fernando Valley, and OC always go through ups and downs. The part of California that is ****ed is the Central Valley. Stockton, Fresno, Bakersfield. Those places watch yourself. Lol.

Good for you man. Personally, I don't give a f about living on the beach (I'm from Florida).
Sad state of affairs when one of the most intelligent men in the country, Larry Elder, loses the election.

Valley Go Home!
ps - Larry Elder, ROFLMFAO!!!
Why are you Cons so enamored with talk show hosts? Do their rich baritone voices make you moist?

You can barely breathe with how hot and humid it is. Maybe I just went at a bad time? Been there 4 times: twice for conferences and twice for cruises. The two times I went in the summer the weather was horrible.

Why are you libs so against any Con or capitalist? Larry Elder is extremely intelligent, go look at his youtube channel.
And, yes, jademaster, Miami weather is absolutely horrid. Can't wait to leave for good next year.

Lol. You know what’s up, and yup I am from the valley’s. San Joaquin and San Fernando stand up!!!!! Hipster ph ag git’s from SF and LA call it just California. Are you a hipster, think you’re cool, douchebag, epitome of the “California ph ag it” stereotype? Because they are the ones who don’t say Cali.
Re: California's Population Exodus is Intensifying
I'm surprised considering they'd had the smog problem since the '70s, angling west of the Sierra Nevadas.
