Re: Gobert-led France Advances to Eurobaket Finals
You think this is funny, but this is definitely a thing.
It's not just dumping the ball into the big man, you need to set it up, swing the ball quickly or be able to adapt and see when the big man has position.
These things are glaringly obvious to anyone used to watching good big man play from the 90s.
Players don't get this, they don't have the urgency or the analytical ability to do it.
Of which Gobert is not. Not offensively.
Of all the fundamentals, an entry pass to a good offensive big man is about as rudimentary as it gets.
Gobert does well in FIBA on the smaller court and the better guards.
NBA guards are atrocious at making entry passes. They don't want to pass to the big man and even if they want to, they are not able due to lack of fundamentals.
Gobert needs to go to Mavs when his contract is up and get a ring or two before he retires.
on a better team in Minnesota

Re: Gobert-led France Advances to Eurobaket Finals

Gobert was always great, he was kept down by bad american guards.
