If Gaetz does decide to remove McCarthy who does he replace him with?

So Jim Jordan's first vote just failed.

I should note that I have no idea what is a win here for Democrats or Republicans. Long term I know the democrats believe that this incompetence will win them the House but in the short term the most likely next Speaker is the unlikely next Speaker, Jim Jordan. Meanwhile the best case scenario for the far right is Jordan sticking out or for another week or however long it takes for enough backroom deals to get done for them to get Jordan in power so that he can proceed to pass nothing as he will agree to nothing with a man whose impeachment is the primary goal of his speakership. The only other possibility is a negotiated moderate with Democrat support that will have the far right fighting to eliminate from jump and in the end will have a hard time passing bills that Republicans actually support. Not sure politics have ever been this unpredictable.

Tons of people hate the guy even from his own party because he is a douchebag. Gaetz, Jordan, MTG, Boebert and a few others are heavily despised by members of their own party. Notice they are all alt-right and are all tools.

So rather than(allegedly) lose by an even bigger margin today JJ has instead opted to use that legendary charm instead of the anonymous threatening text messages to other Reps wives (yes, that happened). After he convinces a few of them to flip into his side JJ will f force another vote where he hopefully comes within 10 votes of Hakeem Jeffries.

There waswas also some talk of expanding the powers of the Temp McHenry but only a few moderate Republicans found that acceptable as it would require Democrat support, which would come at a cost to republican power. We are currently a lot closer to a shut down than a new speaker.

Amusing side note, you could probably get Gaetz to support a jam sandwich right now so long as it had an (R) by its name. The Republicans want to throw him out more than they want to get rid of Santos at this point.

Its funny that democrats seem to be much more triggered by McCarthys ouster than republicans are... and its that much more hilarious when you notice that 100% of democrats voted in favor of throwing out McCarthy.

Ilhan Omar getting super wet checking out Matt Gaetz when he's talking. They worked together and she supported his resolution to withdraw American troops from Somalia a few months back. I wonder if anything is going on behind the scenes between these two supposed enemies? Maybe hubbie isn't giving it to her like she wants.
