Poor Xiao
I think most of this forum is emotional towards Gobert. He has an ugly game on offense but he is their most important big and 2nd best player on the team. Xiao is a good troll and all i know but this is getting silly.

That's pretty funny. You will find in life people make up their mind(aka belief) ahead of time and build their argument backwards from there. Cognitive dissonance of the highest order, if need be.
Single game +/- can be very misleading due to sub patterns but it's obvious from watching games that Rudy's defense is far more important than Reid's offense. The 5-10 extra points he might score due to his shooting ability mean nothing when the opposing team is constantly getting buckets in the paint to offset whatever he's doing on offense. Reid also gambles a lot for steals/blocks on D where if he doesn't get it it's an easy bucket for the opponent, and he's nowhere near as good at boxing out & rebounding the ball.
Weve got 10 years of rudys impact. Ignore it if you must

Trolls and facts dont mix. Dont waste your breath
Better than Toody, sure, but his own team!?
Hes not THAT good bro :lol
I think he is.
His skillset is insane.
He has star / superstar type attributes.
Just hope the Wolves dont quite utilize that this series.
He is very good and if you compare him to someone, maybe Bam but with more range?
Has that similar hybrid PF-C build and allround skillset.

+/- is the most telling stat with the correct sample size, but single game can be very misleading.

10 years and not one conference finals appearance :oldlol:

It's not, really.
It can be. But it can also not be. Even over large sample sizes.

I could be wrong. I guess I dont see him as a guy you put the ball in his hands and tell him to figure out what to do. I feel like hes a guy who responds to plays and finishes them, not necessarily sets things up. Ive not seen any indication hes a guy you consistently play THRU.
Again, I think hes like a PJ Washington Plus. He can do a lot on the court. But I dont see the evidence that hes a guy who quarterbacks the offense. Which is I think what you generally expect when you build around a guy.

I think you could probably do it.
Its just so uncommon to us.
He came up as an absolute role player guy.
Its just about setting him free.
I think the same for Derrick White, Norman Powell. Maybe OG too.
These guys are stars restricted by role / volume.

In the Western Conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves knocked off three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and the defending champion Denver Nuggets in a thrilling Game 7 comeback to reach the conference finals for the first time since 2004. :coleman:
