I used to get sleep paralysis years ago thinking it was a demon trying to posses me, but after I read up on sleep paralysis I didn't believe that any longer.

But what I find weird about the sleep paralysis episodes is that it always involves a malevolent being, even to people whom aren't religious and across all cultures. That seems strange to me...

Do you still get them and since you know it's something your body is doing to you, you don't sense any dread at all anymore?

On a side note, one of my cousins claims she can leave her body while asleep, I called BS on that and challenged her to go in my room (we were sharing an apartment along with her husband and my brother) and tell me what shirt I had on during the night. I grabbed an old shirt that I had tucked away in my closet, it was a Bulls t shirt with MJ, Pippen and Grant with the words Triple Threat on it (it was the mid 90s). Next morning I changed in my room to go to work and didn't see her in the morning since she left to work early than me but when I got back home and I had already forgotten about the bet, she described the shirt I had, exactly to a tee. I locked my room, there was no way she could've opened during the night and I specifically used that shirt because I hardly wore it anymore because it was a bit raggedy, I had it for 3 or 4 years by that point so she couldn't have just guessed it. That was strange...she also has told me about other times she has left her body during her sleep. Still baffled by that to this day.

I probably haven't had it happen to me in over 10 years now at least. The times it has happened which is three or four times in my life it always happens when sleeping on my back. Which through studies shows that's usually the sleeping position it will happen in for whatever reason. You're aware of where you are and you surroundings, but you can't move or open your eyes. And then you get a sense of panic as if there's an entity hovering over. For me it always felt like a dark figure. These episodes last maybe 30 to 90 seconds for me. The last time it ever happened I was sleeping next to my ex-wife and I was purposely trying to make myself breath hard so she'd wake up then wake me up, but she never woke up and I had to get myself out of sleep paralysis.

After I read about it some people who experience that same feeling can have it happen for hours consecutively. That would suck. Just a minute or two for me and I don't want to fall back asleep. I can't imagine having it happen for hours on end.

Fast forward, we took him to a priest that did exorcisms en masse and he assured us he would be fine and he really got well fast after that...

Believe me bro, I was a science first skeptic agnostic, I wasn't against the idea of a higher being, hell we still are clueless about a lot of phenomenon in our universe but watching this miracle in front of my own eyes made me a believer, it is not a coincidence that he started getting better the moment me and my wife got close to the church.

I know this is a long post and most people will think I'm nuts but I have video evidence of just how bad my son got. It's painful to watch it but I keep the videos even though my wife has told me to delete them but they are a reminder of the miracle that happened before our own eyes, that that did happen because I'm happy to say my boy hasn't had a seizure since then, he's been off of those meds since he was 5, he's now going to turn 12 and is completely normal, as if that never happened...

To wrap this up, my son has told me that he doesn't remember much of that period [B]but he does remember that "a monster was trying to eat him", his words. A neighbor told us that she would hear kids laughing and talking at 3 in the morning[/B], coming from our house and she thought that was odd considering we took our sons to school at 6 am. Another thing, right after my son had his seizures and before he started losing abilities, he couldn't sleep, maybe an hour or two at the most, it was really frustrating because as soon as he was about to sleep, he would get startled and wake up quickly...thinking back, my boy didn't want to sleep, something was attacking him during his sleep, as crazy as that sounds. The exorcism and prayers helped, and forget how exorcisms are shown in the movies, they are nothing like that in real life...

I was told by a priest that my boy has a special light and that attracts malevolent beings and during that time, me and my wife were going through a rough patch, she was considering a divorce, that type of negative vibes permits evil to enter into your life.[/QUOTE]

Thanks bro, if you have kids, doctors telling you that your child is dying and they can't do anything is the worst feeling in the world.

And just to expand on what the neighbor said, she told me and my wife that she has the gift of being able to sense those who have passed and stuff of that sort...obviously my kids were already fast asleep by that time but she said the noises of kids talking and playing were coming from our house. She never mentioned any of this because we really didn't know her that well, just hi neighbor kind of thing. She did mention to us when my boy was really sick that she felt he was trapped inside his body because one day we were talking to her and I was carrying my son and he hadn't been talking for a couple of months by this point. She told us that she looked at my boy and telepathically asked him if he was there to wink at her, and she says he did. She also was deeply religious and she directed us towards other people who helped us along the way. I'm very grateful to everyone who helped us. I almost forgot, my wife also mentioned to me that days before my boy's first seizure, that she was asleep in her room when she was awakend by who she thought was my youngest son, she couldn't see his face but by the street lights that entered our house, she saw the shadow of a boy about the same size as our son so she obviously thought it was him, she said she told him to go to bed and the boy just stood there, at the foot of the bed. She say she turned to get up and suddenly there was nothing there and that she didn't hear him walk or run away. She got freaked out and immediately went to my son's room and he was in deep sleep so what she saw wasn't him. Looking back, that thing was obviously a malevolent entity...I know this sounds nuts, I wouldn't believe it either but I lived it. My wife said it wasn't a dream either, she was wide awake because she was startled out of her sleep.
