Re: Damian Lillard waived
That’s such a weird combination of things. Is Turner supposed to be enough to make Giannis want to stay or do they just figure they have to make a token effort? And what does he gain By leaving Indiana to another relatively small market That probably isn’t paying him any better?
Or maybe Indiana is punting on the next couple seasons I didn’t offer him the money?
Feels like none of the coveted players are going where it makes sense.
I guess dame gets to pick a contender to retire with now
yep the league is a small market teams ( besides NY and LA) :banghead::banghead:
no sense playing with a top three player in the world.
Re: Damian Lillard waived

Re: Damian Lillard waived
This is a move the Bucks made in order to keep Giannis happy. They took the cap hit on Dame's contract but were able to get Turner on the squad as a result. 2026 is so wide open at least in the EC that they tripled down lol.
Haynes reported Giannis didn't like Dame being waived.
Re: Damian Lillard waived
There are conflicting reports on Giannis. Sometimes we hear he didn't like Lillaird being waived and then sometimes we hear he was in on Turner the whole time. If the narrative is important to them keeping Giannis then it seems like Milwaukee should do a better job of controlling what gets leaked.
Re: Damian Lillard waived
The bucks will get nowhere anyway unless they replace doc rivers. I think he's better off coaching developing teams.
Re: Damian Lillard waived
Warriors Lakers and Celtics are all reportedly trying to sign Lillaird.
