Dead ass... the Pacers might not have even made the playoffs if they played in the West.
They won 50 games. 8 seed out west was Memphis who barely snuck in @ 48.
Thats a close ass margin. They lose a play in game because other team got hot for one game and they're done-zo.

This misses a lot of context though. Paers had a 20-9 record after the all star break. In the East, the Cavs and Celitcs were the only teams with a better post all star break record. Pacers were on a tear.

I give them credit for that but the play in battle out west was a total blood bath this year. A couple games separated the 2 seed from the 8 seed and the shuffle was real.
Playing out east means you play more east opponents... and they're def easier on average no question.
I still can't believe LeBron won a chip against this juggernaut of a Pacers team. This adds to LeBron's legacy.
